Cat Day - The story of Catalina, my warrior kitten

Today I realized it was Cat Day, and I was really happy to know that because recently—well, actually, it's been more than six months now—we adopted a beautiful little cat named Taby. It's been quite a journey with her, and I'm still getting to know her. She's more adapted to us now, since she's a kitten that was rescued from the street and spent some time living there, so she wasn't very close to humans. It's been quite a process, but I feel like we've made a lot of progress with her.

Catalina Valentina, aka “the chubby one,” doesn't like affection very much. She gets overwhelmed very quickly and is likely to bite or scratch you (laughs), so you have to be careful with her in that regard. She seeks me out on her own, lies down on the floor, and I pet her to the point where she lets me because if I touch her belly too much, someone is likely to get hurt, and not necessarily her.

She is a very well-behaved kitten, even though she wasn't raised by humans from a young age. She is very clean and knew how to use the litter box from the day I brought her home and had her spayed. I still remember with great emotion how she had trouble sleeping, never lowering her head, always alert, not yet understanding that she was safe and that no one would hurt her anymore. She came into my life and turned it upside down. She's like a little clock, eats a lot, and is very intelligent. I'm happy with her and hope God gives her a long and healthy life. We love her very much. Oh, by the way, taking these photos was quite an odyssey because she never complains, but I like the result because she looks cute and very grumpy. Best regards.
