Character review: Virgo Shaka from Saint Seiya

Greetings, my friends, I hope you are well. Well, I'll tell you that this is the end of the Saint Seiya Golden Saints saga, those twelve young men who pledged their loyalty to the goddess Athena. I like the idea that this Saint was left until last, as for me he is the closest to being a god, and his purpose went beyond victory to convey the message that we fight not only to preserve life but also to understand that it is fleeting and that what is eternal is the soul. This character is very philosophical, and I love the fact that he spent part of his life with his eyes closed in a kind of meditation.

He undoubtedly had a very strong connection with the cosmos, which is why he is considered above many of his companions. He was born in India, and from day one, his teacher knew how special he was and the task he had with him. Shaka was not a very attached person; he did not spend much time with people. Of course, he knew what he represented, and because of that, he sometimes felt a little superior, but let's face it, he was. Curiously, he was not an aggressive person, since his way of dealing with his enemies was to show them enlightenment, the purpose of everything, and that if he had to lose his life, so be it.

For me, Shaka represents more than a warrior; he is someone who somehow uses his heavenly gifts not only to defeat his adversaries, but also to make them understand that there is something greater and beyond just earthly life or winning a fight, but rather transcending into the depths of the cosmos and becoming eternal. Closing his eyes was also a way of bringing peace. His entire legacy was special, of course, like everyone else with their flaws, but I think his end was something very unique, which made him different from all the other Gold Saints.

His unique and particular way of defeating his enemies is undoubtedly what makes him a legendary and unforgettable warrior, forcing his enemies to see themselves without any filters and thus see how empty they can be. What do you think of this character? Greetings.
