Impressions of "Spirited Away" - A journey full of fantasies

Greetings, my dear anime-loving friends, it's a pleasure to be here. I'm currently very focused on watching all of Studio Ghibli's productions, and it has truly been one of the most unique and beautiful experiences. This time, I want to talk to you about my impressions of watching “Spirited Away,” a film that lasts a little over two hours, but is worth every minute. I never cease to be amazed by the beauty of the animation, the editing, and the well-defined gestures of each character. It's clear to see why their productions are so famous worldwide.

I must say that, in my opinion, the film is a little open-ended. There is no final answer or explanation like in other films. It is a fantastic world where magical things happen and anything is possible. It shows us a little girl who is undoubtedly going through that stage of adolescence that can be difficult for many. The changes are not well tolerated, and she is not at all comfortable with moving to a place other than the only one she knows.

It all starts with her parents moving to a new city with little Chihiro, who, as I mentioned, isn't very happy about the idea. They decide to stop at a place where there is a tunnel or passageway, and that's where a story full of fantasy begins, with situations very similar to those of normal humans. We see some pretty striking characters, such as the faceless man, a giant dragon, and an old woman who flies and has many employees under her command. Many things happen that make you feel a little strange, but believe me, you soon get used to it and get the hang of the movie.

This installment also shows us that greedy, malevolent side. I also felt that sensation where there is someone superior who takes advantage of the weakest or those in need. I felt a little sorry for everything little Chihiro had to face in that strange world where she had to work and do things to earn her place. She was forced to take on adult responsibilities, and that undoubtedly made her mature. Also driven by the desire to see her parents again, she never forgot who she was when she was there, and that also helped her and gave her conviction.

I don't know what to think about the ending. It's not that I didn't like it, but I still feel like something is missing to bring the film to a more satisfying conclusion. Perhaps I'll gradually come to understand the ending. However, I loved it. The magic and fantasy will blow anyone's mind, especially those of us who love the natural and magical aspects of films. So, without a doubt, it's a film that I recommend if you haven't seen it yet.
