I made an interpretation of the Hearthside prompt : Home from the snow. My idea is a group of critters coming home from a long tiring walk out in the cold. I want to show the beautiful winter scene with snow fall a light source like the moon and some glow around each critter.
This is actually the finished drawing I made for this prompt. It took longer to finish this one drawing because the texture of the scarf and the face of the fox like creature is very demanding. I realized despite the time I spent rendering this it does not tell anything about the prompt of home from the snow. So I decided to add more details
To the left is another fox like creature with a big thick scarf and a bonnet. It is also carrying a big bag full of winter supplies just like the first one. They were busy foraging and collecting food supplies. The third character is a little different for a change. I am not sure though what it is other than it has a pair of what looks like bunny ears.
The two additional characters are quick to make because they have less details and texture. I think they could tell a story now. Last would be the snow on the ground the dark background the moon and snow and the shadow. To complete the look and feel of winter I added a glow to their silhouette
These three are a dedicated crew of winter foragers known for finding sustenance. The tall leader, Rylan carries the biggest leather satchel, packed with root vegetables and preserved berries. His apprentice Sana, holds the potent winter tea leaves crucial for medicinal teas back home. Little Fig carries the firewood and the tiny river fish caught just before the ice became too thick. They’ve trekked through the deep snow and are finally heading to their communal home, exhausted but thrilled that their hard work means the whole clan will eat well and stay warm through the longest nights
