Hello, hi ,namaste to all hive users reaching this post , hope you all are doing great .

Today was the first day of Navratri which is celebrated twice a year in . Navratri is celebrated to honor the triumph of the goddess Durga over the demon Mahishasur , symbolizing the victory of God over evil . It's celebrated for 9 - 10 days , usually many people do fasting (some take fast for the 1st and last day , and few for all days ). Its not mandatory for all to take fast , one do it by his or her choice .

On the first day of Navratri, a brass pot filled with pure water , mango leaves placed around the mouth of kalash and finally a coconut on the top covered with red cloth is kept in the temple of our house ( also it's tied with raksha dhaga and by making a swasthik from outside ). And this is kept until the day of kanya pujan.

So this time my mother told me to paint the brass pot for making kalash.

So here is the process.

This brass water pot was a little old one , started with painting it using red color. I painted only the outer part and the mouth of it , avoided the inner part .

As I used acrylic color that's why it only took few minutes for drying ,then started making patterns using white acrylic color .

I also used yellow acrylic color for a little touch up .

The little flowers were looking odd that's why I applied one more coat of yellow color in it and outlined it using white.

Similarly made different patterns and at last Made pattern lines inside the kalash .

And here it was completed .

Hope you liked it , do share your opinions with me .
