OK Hivers I don’t often drink lager but our for a curry tonight with @Scubahead so not much option. For a change we went to the Gurkha Chef which is our local Nepalese.

One of the beers they do apart from the usual Indian Cobra and Kingfisher is Kathmandu the Pride of Nepal according to the label anyway.

As beers go it was fairly easy drinking with an 4.7 % ABV and a bit more hoppy than a standard lager which works for me. It as good complement with the lamb curry I had was very present very tasty and not too hot.

According to the label on the back it’s actually brewed in London under licence. So no where near the slopes of Everest. But it is nice and smooth being triple filtered and it did go really well with the curry.

So there you have it Hivers if your ever in Newton Abbot I can recommend a curry at the Gurkha Chef but you had best book because it’s only small.
