>Hello, how are you folks? I hope you are doing well. I am pleased to present this sewing project for Barbie. My Barbie has a designer style of the 2000's era; in this time corset became popular as a sophisticated garment, also the use of jeans increased as a look used by many designers and celebrities. This is a design that includes a corset with Swarovski crystals, a jacket with embroidery, trousers with side slit and nice pockets, plus high leather boots with decorative crystals.

Mi Barbie tiene un estilo de diseñadora de la época de los 2000; en esta época los corset se popularizaron como una prenda sofisticada, además se incrementó el uso de los jean como un look muy utilizado por muchos diseñadores y celebridades. Este es un diseño que incluye un corsé con cristales de Swarovski, una chaqueta con bordados, unos pantalones con abertura lateral y bonitos bolsillos, además de unas botas altas de cuero con cristales decorativos.

# Step by Step - Paso a Paso
***Corset***
**1**
On the doll itself I have placed several pieces of tape to get the patterns for the corset design.
>Sobre la propia muñeca he colocado varias cinta adhesiva para obtener los patrones para el diseño del corset.
This way we have the pattern area on the right side and we take 2 pieces of each pattern.
>De esta manera tenemos la zona de los patrones del lado derecho y sacamos de cada patrón 2 piezas de cada uno.

Then we cut out each of the pieces with the help of the scissors!
>Luego recortamos cada una de las piezas con la ayuda de la tijera!
This is how we get every single piece!

Next, with the help of the pins we join the pieces together and then we sew with the help of the sewing machine.
>Seguidamente con la ayuda de los alfileres vamos uniendo las piezas y luego pasamos a costura con la ayuda de la maquina de coser.

Then at the end of each of the left and right ends we must sew thin braids or rings of denim fabric at these ends.
>Luego en la parte final de cada extremos derecho e izquierdo debemos coser finas trenzas o argollas de tela de jean en estos extremos.

Then at the bottom of the corset we sew a thin braid of ripped denim.
>Luego en la parte inferior del corset cosemos una fina trenza de tela de jean rasgado.

Then, at the top of the corset we have to glue a thin chain to the edge of the corset with the help of glue.

Finally, with the help of a pair of tweezers and glue, we must glue the crystals in the whole area of the piece in a distributed way.

This is the cute final design of the corset, I just sewed a thin braid and then braided the back area on the back of the barbie.
>Este es el lindo diseño final del corset, solo cosí una fina trenza para luego trenzar la zona trasera en la espalda de la barbie.
# Jacket - Chaqueta

I used the same method to remove the patterns from the jacket using masking tape.
>Utilicé el mismo método para sacar los patrones de la chaqueta utilizando la cinta adhesiva.

This way we have the patterns for the front and the back area for our jacket!
>De esta manera tenemos los patrones de la parte delantera y la zona trasera para nuestra chaqueta!

Then, once we have the jean pieces, we have to sew the front and the back together.
>Luego una vez que tenemos las piezas de jean, debemos fijar mediante costura la zona delantera y la zona trasera.

Then we sew the sleeves of the jackets.
>Seguidamente cosemos las mangas de las chaquetas.
At the bottom and on the sleeves I have sewn the lace embroidery area.

# Pants - Pantalón
**1**
To make the trousers I take a rectangle and place it on the waist area of the barbie and from this area I take the base pattern to make the trousers.
>Para hacer los pantalones tomo un rectángulo y ese lo he colocado sobre la ´parte de la zona de la cintura de la barbie y desde esta zona tomo el patron base para sacar los pantalones.

In this way we join the pieces up to the pointed area of the fabric.
>De esta manera unimos las piezas hasta la zona puntiaguda de la tela.

Then we sew the pockets on the back and front of our trousers.
>Luego cosemos los bolsillos en la zona trasera y en la zona delantera de nuestro pantalon.

Then we join the pieces together and leave the sides open but sew the edge of the side pieces together.
>Luego unimos piezas y dejamos los lados laterales abiertos pero cosiendo el borde de estos.
# Shoes - Zapatos

My Barbie didn't have shoes, so I designed shoes out of cardboard, anime and leather. First I took the pattern by measuring the foot, so we glued the cardboard sole on the anime square.
>Mi Barbie no tenia zapatos, asi que diseñé unos zapatos partiendo de carton, anime y cuero. Primero tomo el patrón tomando la medida del pie, asi pegamos la suela del carton sobre el cuadrado de anime.

Then we line the cardboard area with the leather, taking the shape of a long boot. Then to cover the front part of the boot we cover it with another piece of leather.
>Luego forramos con el cuero la zona del carton tomando la forma de una botas largas. Luego para cubrir la zona delantera de la bota cubrimos esta con otro pedazo de cuero.

Then we must place a leather tape to cover the cardboard sole.
>Luego debemos colacamos una cinta de cuero para cubrir la suela de carton.
We decorated with crystals and this is the final result.
>Decoramos con cristales y este es el resultado final.
