It has been announced that there will be Battle Decks internationally featuring Mega Pokemon on October 24, 2025. The two featured Pokemon are Mega Gengar ex and Mega Diancie ex. Both cards are unknown.
These preconstructed decks are level 2 decks. Level 1 decks are the cheapest but not very competitive, level 2 decks are more higher in price and needs some tweaking to make them competitive. Level 3 decks are the priciest but are good to play with out of the box. Some minor tweaks needed to make level 3 decks competitive from local tournaments and larger regional tournaments.
Japan gets these decks on September 5, 2025.

Each deck comes with an illustration rare card. The Gengar deck comes with an illustration rare of Haunter and the Diancie deck gets a Meloetta art card.

Murkrow & Honchkrow
Murkrow & Honchkrow are not very good attackers in the competitive sense. These are the filler cards in this deck product.
Sableye
This Sableye looks like an okay alternate attacker. The base damage for 1 Dark Energy is 20 damage. If you have a Stage 2 Darkness Pokemon in play then this Angry Claw attack does 90 damage. Ninety damage from 1 Dark Energy is a good attack (meeting the condition).
Absol
Here is a new version of Absol. This one has 110 HP, one retreat cost and 2 attacks. The first attack of Allure lets you draw 2 cards and the second attack does 60 damage from 1 Dark Energy and one Colourless Energy.
This Absol seems okay but underpowered in the competitive metagame.
Eternatus
This Dark Eternatus is a bulky 150 HP Basic Pokemon. The attacks do have a high Energy cost though.
Punk Helmet
Punk Helmet is a stronger version of Rocky Helmet but for Dark types. Opponent's Pokemon that use damage dealing attacks to Dark Pokemon with a Punk Helmet receive 4 damage counters back to them.

I could see a few Marnie's Grimmsnarl ex decks try one Punk Helmet for more damage spread.
Gastly & Haunter Cards
Gastly & Haunter are needed in order to evolve into Mega Gengar ex. Gastly is not a great attacker and Haunter's 40 damage is okay.
Haunter has an illustration rare card.
Mega Gengar ex
Here is Mega Gengar ex. This Stage 2 Mega Dark Pokemon has 350 HP, two retreat cost, one ability and one attack.
The Void Gale attack requires 2 Dark Energy for 230 damage. Not the most powerful attack. From this attack you also move 1 Energy from this Pokemon to 1 of your Benched Pokemon.
What makes this Mega Gengar ex stand out is its ability. The Shadow Hiding ability can only be used from just 1 Mega Gengar ex. It does not stack. When of your Dark Pokemon is Knocked Out by damage from an attack from your opponent's Pokemon ex, your opponent takes one less Prize card. This effect is similar to the ACE SPEC card Legacy Energy. Prize denial effects are pretty powerful as you give less reward to your opponent whenever your Pokemon is Knocked Out.
You have to be super careful with the conditions of this ability if you are facing Mega Gengar ex. Opponents can bypass this Mega Gengar ex ability if the attack requires placing damage counters, one hit knockout attacks in the attack effect or if the attack is from a non Pokemon ex attacker.

Milcery & Alcremie
Milcery is not a great attacker while Alcremie is an okay attacker. Alcremie does more damage if you have more Pokemon in play. In theory, Alcremie can hit 120 damage from 6 Pokemon in play. If you have Tera Pokemon and Area Zero Underdepths, then Alcremie can hit up to 180 damage from one Psychic Energy.
Meloetta
Here is a new Meloetta card. This Basic Psychic Pokemon has 90 HP, 1 retreat cost and two attacks. The Magical Shot attack does not deal big damage and he Healing Melody attack does have a good healing effect. Being able to heal 120 damage from one of your damaged Psychic Benched Pokemon is powerful.
Meloetta has an illustration rare version card.
Snubull & Granbull
As an attacker Snubull is not great. Granbull's Finishing Blow can be okay in some rare instances if you have Reversal Energy. Overall, these two Pokemon are not the greatest attackers.
Cresselia
Cresselia's Overflowing Light attack is okay. The energy acceleration is good from Overflowing Light. However, the Aurora Beam attack is underwhelming in damage output.
Mimikyu
This Mimikyu card seems okay. The Scratch attack for 20 damage from 1 Psychic Energy is okay. Its first attack of Call For Family is good in the early game. For 1 Colourless Energy, the Call For Family attack lets you search your deck for up to 2 Basic Pokemon and put them onto your Bench (Then shuffle your deck).
I don't think this Mimikyu card is amazing but it may see niche use in Gardevoir ex decks for its Call For Family attack.
Wonder Patch
I am not a fan of Psychic Pokemon gaining more support. This Wonder Patch release is probably intended for Psychic decks after Gardevoir ex and G regulation mark cards goes away out of standard play in early 2026.
This item card is simple. Attach a Basic Psychic Energy from your discard pile to 1 of your Benched Psychic Pokemon.
Mega Diancie ex
I leave Mega Diancie ex as the last one here. It is a bulky Basic Mega Pokemon ex of the Psychic type with 270 HP, 1 retreat cost, one ability and one attack. The Diamond Coat ability allows Mega Diancie ex take 30 less damage from attacks.
The Garland Ray attack requires 2 Psychic Energy as the attack cost. You discard up to 2 Energy from Mega Diancie ex. This attack does 120 damage for each Energy discarded in this way. You can either do 0 damage, 120 damage or a maximum of 240 damage. The max damage of 240 should one hit Knockout most Basic Pokemon ex but not evolved Pokemon ex. I don't think this is awful but it is not super crazy either.
