In the Pokemon TCG Pocket mobile game, there is a full cards list reveal of the Mega Rising set. Mega Rising is the first set of the new B block in this game. This set also corresponds with the Legends Z-A videogame but it does not have any of the latest Mega Evolutions Pokemon.
There are some many cards to cover so I showcase some of them. The full list can be found on Pokebeach.
This is a long post. Read and see what you want.
Grass Pokemon
Pinsir & Mega Pinsir
![]() |
![]() |
The regular Pinsir is not really playable. Mega Pinsir ex is beefy with 170 HP but the Critical Scissors attack does have a high attack cost. Maybe you can use Leafeon ex with it.

Wurmple, Silcoon, Beautifly
![]() |
![]() |
![]() |
This whole evolution line is kind of underwhelming. Beautifly's Skill Dive attack does require 1 Grass Energy to hit 50 damage anywhere. The fire power is not really there.
Seedot, Nuzleaf, Shiftry
![]() |
![]() |
![]() |
Shiftry is an interesting attacker. Nipping Cyclone does 70 damage and you discard a random card from your opponent's hand.
Cottonee & Whimsicott ex
![]() |
![]() |
Cottonee is an okay attacker in the early game. Whimsicott ex's Grass Knot attack does more damage if the opponent's Active Pokemon has a high retreat cost. The highest retreat cost is 4 so Grass Knot would do a maximum damage of 160 (40 + 30 x 4 = 40 + 120 = 160).
Petilil & Lilligant
![]() |
![]() |
Lilligant helps Grass Pokemon by giving them 20 more HP. This duo does require deck space in the 20 card deck.
Fire Pokemon
Ponyta, Rapidash ex
![]() |
![]() |
Here is Ponyta and Rapidash ex. Rapidash ex has a high attack cost which makes it hard to use.
Torchic, Combusken, Blaziken & Mega Blaziken ex
![]() |
![]() |
![]() |
![]() |
This evolution line has some good attacks. The single prize Blaziken is okay but I think the Mega Blaziken ex is more usable as it has more HP and a better attack.
Litwick, Lampent, Chandelure
![]() |
![]() |
![]() |
Chandelure is kind of interesting. As long as its in play, Chandelure allows you to discard the top card of your opponent's deck. Control/mill decks may play this card. You don't win in Pocket if the opponent runs out of cards but you do discard key resources. It does take a while to get Chandelure in play.
Water Pokemon
Magikarp, Gyarados & Mega Gyarados ex
![]() |
![]() |
![]() |
If you are able to setup a Gyarados or Mega Gyarados ex and start attacking, it will be difficult for your opponent to beat you. The big weakness is Magikarp.
Froakie, Frogadier & Greninja ex
![]() |
![]() |
![]() |
We have a new Greninja evolution line. Greninja ex is an okay beatstick attacker. The Shifting Stream ability allows you to switch your active Water Pokemon with 1 of your Benched Pokemon.
Eiscue

I feature Eiscue here. The ability is something that cannot be overlooked. With Ice Face, Eiscue takes 40 less damage from attacks from the opponent's Pokemon if Eiscue has full HP.
Eiscue could serve as a mini wall in the early game as you setup Evolution Pokemon or Energy for attacks.
Frillish & Jellicent
![]() |
![]() |
Frillish is an okay attacker. Jellicent appears to be a very good support type of Pokemon. The Bouncy Body ability activates when it is in the Active Spot and is damaged by an attack from your opponent's Pokemon. Take a Water Energy from your Energy Zone and attach to any 1 of your Benched Pokemon.
In theory, this Jellicent can serve as a wall. If it is attacked then you gain Water Energy to 1 of your Benched Pokemon. Water decks definitely gain a boost with Jellicent.
Lightning Pokemon
Mareep, Flaaffy, Ampharos, Mega Ampharos ex
![]() |
![]() |
![]() |
![]() |
The regular Ampharos is an okay attacker. If you want to make the most of a Stage 2 Pokemon, I would go with the Mega Ampharos ex. Watch out for Fighting Pokemon.
Jolteon ex

We finally get Jolteon ex. This one is interesting. The Mach Bolt attack is okay at 2 Lightning Energy for 80 damage.
The Electromagnetic Wall activates when Jolteon ex is in the Active Spot and whenever your opponent attaches an Energy from their Energy Zone to 1 of their Pokemon. You deal 20 damage to that Pokemon. It is an punishment ability for your opponent.
Psychic Pokemon
Mega Altaria ex & Indeedee ex
![]() |
![]() |
Mega Altaria ex was covered before in a previous post. The Mega Harmony attack does more damage as you have more Benched Pokemon. The max damage it can do is 130 (40 + 30 x 3 = 40 + 90).
Indeedee ex is a good Basic Pokemon ex attacker. The ability allows for healing of 20 damage from your Active Pokemon once during your turn. The Psychic attack requires 2 Psychic Energy to deal 30 base damage plus 30 more damage attached to your opponent's Active Pokemon. This Psychic attack does more damage if the opponent has more Energy.
I can see a few non-Psychic decks use Indeedee ex for its healing ability.
Carbink, Klefki & Chingling
![]() |
![]() |
![]() |
Carbink is a basic 50 HP Pokemon with a good attack in Guard Press. Guard Press requires one Psychic Energy to deal 30 damage plus it takes 30 less damage from attacks.
Klefki is another 50 HP Basic Psychic Pokemon. The Hook attack requires any 1 type of Energy to deal 20 damage. What makes Klefki interesting is its ability. Dismantling Keys can be used if Klefki is on your Bench. Once during your turn, you may discard all Pokemon Tools from your opponent's Active Pokemon. Afterwards, you discard this Pokemon (removing it from the Bench). Instead of using a Supporter card to discard a Tool, you can use Klefki instead. Some decks may use this as a tech card against some Tool heavy decks.
Chingling
Chingling is another Basic Baby Pokemon with 30 HP, zero weakness and zero retreat cost. The Jingly Noise attack requires 0 Energy and does 10 damage. The attack effect is very powerful. During your opponent's next turn, the opponent cannot play any Item cards from their hand.
This Chingling is pretty much the same as Budew from the regular physical card game. Budew had a big impact in the regular card game. I expect Chingling to be impactful here in the mobile game. Newer Pokemon TCG players will have to learn quickly in dealing with Chingling. This thing can also attack going first on the first turn. There is a possibility that a person starting their first turn going second not being allowed to play Item cards due to Chingling.
![]() |
Fighting Pokemon
Hitmonchan ex

This Hitmonchan ex is a simple beatstick attacker. One Fighting Energy to deal 50 damage with no weakness bonus. In the early game this Hitmonchan ex is scary against weak Basic Pokemon.
Dark Pokemon
Murkrow & Honchkrow
![]() |
![]() |
Both of these two do not require Dark Energy in their attacks. The Honchkrow is interesting. The base damage is 40 and it does 40 more damage for each of your opponent's Pokemon that have an ability. The max damage it can do is 160 if all 4 of your opponent's Pokemon have abilities.
Mega Absol ex

Here is Mega Absol ex. This has 170 HP, 1 retreat cost and 1 attack. For 2 Darkness Energy, Darkness Claw does 80 damage plus you discard 1 Supporter card you find in your opponent's hand.
Deino, Zweilous, Hydreigon
![]() |
![]() |
![]() |
Hydreigon was covered before. It is a good attacker that can accelerate Dark energy to itself on its own.
Skrelp & Dragalge ex
![]() |
![]() |
Dragalge ex makes opponent's Pokemon Poisoned if they attack Dragalge ex in the Active Spot. Draconic Whip requires 1 Dark Energy and 1 Colourless Energy to deal 80 damage. Add a Nilhilgo or 2 for more Poison damage.
Metal Pokemon
Meltan & Melmetal ex
![]() |
![]() |
I want to like Melmetal ex but the attack cost is so high.
Dragon Pokemon
Goomy, Sliggoo, Goodra
![]() |
PK_10_012600_00.png (https://www.pokebeach.com/news/2025/10/PK_10_012600_00.png) | PK_10_012610_00.png (https://www.pokebeach.com/news/2025/10/PK_10_012610_00.png) |
If Goodra's attack was 2 Energy instead of 3 then it would be more playable. Too much effort to get it going.
Normal Types
Eevee, Tauros ex
| PK_10_012660_00.png (https://www.pokebeach.com/news/2025/10/PK_10_012660_00.png) | PK_10_012650_00.png (https://www.pokebeach.com/news/2025/10/PK_10_012650_00.png) |
This new Eevee is like one of the Eevee cards in the regular physical card game. The Boosted Evolution ability allows Eevee to evolve on the first turn or the first turn you play this Eevee. There is no need to wait the regular one turn to evolve a Pokemon.
Tauros ex is an okay Basic attacker I think. Two of any Energy to deal 90 damage is okay. If you flip tails, the you get recoil damage of 30 damage to itself.
Skitty & Delcatty
| PK_10_012750_00.png (https://www.pokebeach.com/news/2025/10/PK_10_012750_00.png) | PK_10_012760_00.png (https://www.pokebeach.com/news/2025/10/PK_10_012760_00.png) |
Skitty and Delcatty are not great attackers but the Delcatty ability is kind of interesting. The Search for Friends ability on Delcatty can be used once during your turn upon evolution. You may choose a Supporter card from your discard pile into your hand. Effects that have card retrieval from the discard pile is rare and useful. One main issue with this duo is deck space.
Trainer Cards
Plume Fossil With Archen & Archeops
| TR_10_000880_00.png (https://www.pokebeach.com/news/2025/10/TR_10_000880_00.png) | PK_10_012150_00.png (https://www.pokebeach.com/news/2025/10/PK_10_012150_00.png) | PK_10_012160_00.png (https://www.pokebeach.com/news/2025/10/PK_10_012160_00.png) |
Plume Fossil is an Item card that becomes a Pokemon when you put it into play. You need this for Archen and Archeops.
Cover Fossil with Tirtouga & Carracosta
| TR_10_000900_00.png (https://www.pokebeach.com/news/2025/10/TR_10_000900_00.png) | PK_10_011480_00.png (https://www.pokebeach.com/news/2025/10/PK_10_011480_00.png) | PK_10_011490_00.png (https://www.pokebeach.com/news/2025/10/PK_10_011490_00.png) |
Cover Fossil is for the Tirtouga and Carracosta evolutions.
Prank Spinner, Hitting Hammer
| TR_10_000870_00.png (https://www.pokebeach.com/news/2025/10/TR_10_000870_00.png) | TR_10_000890_00.png (https://www.pokebeach.com/news/2025/10/TR_10_000890_00.png) |
Prank Spinner is not a great card. Both players lose 1 card at random into their deck. It is a minus 2 cards for the user and minus 1 for the opponent. One use case is to remove 1 card from the opponent.
Hitting Hammer is a gamble Item card. You need both Heads from 2 flips to discard a random Energy from the opponent's Active Pokemon. Assuming a fair coin, the chance of getting 2 Heads from 2 flips is 25% (1/4).
Flame Patch & Sitrus Berry
| TR_10_000910_00.png (https://www.pokebeach.com/news/2025/10/TR_10_000910_00.png) | TR_10_000920_00.png (https://www.pokebeach.com/news/2025/10/TR_10_000920_00.png) |
Flame Patch is very good for Fire decks. Attach 1 Fire Energy from the discard pile to your Active Fire Pokemon. Note that the Fire Energy goes to the Active Fire Pokemon. Most cards of this type have Energy attach to the Benched Pokemon.
Sitrus Berry is a tool card that activates when the Pokemon holding this has half of its maximum HP or less. Heal 30 damage for the Pokemon with this card. Then discard the Sitrus Berry. This effect is similar to the video game Sitrus Berry.
Heavy Helmet & Lucky Mittens
| TR_10_000930_00.png (https://www.pokebeach.com/news/2025/10/TR_10_000930_00.png) | TR_10_000940_00.png (https://www.pokebeach.com/news/2025/10/TR_10_000940_00.png) |
Heavy Helmet provides more defense for Pokemon with 3 retreat or more.
Lucky Mittens is a Tool card that gives a draw 1 more card reward if the Pokemon with this tool Knocks Out an opponent's Pokemon from damage by an attack.
Marlon & Hala
| TR_10_000950_00.png (https://www.pokebeach.com/news/2025/10/TR_10_000950_00.png) | TR_10_000960_00.png (https://www.pokebeach.com/news/2025/10/TR_10_000960_00.png) |
Marlon is a niche Supporter that heals 70 damage from 1 Carracosta or 1 Jellicent.
Hala is another niche Supporter that goes with Hariyama or Crabominable. You avoid a Knockout during the opponent's next turn from damage by an attack. Instead of 0 HP, the remaining HP is 10.
May & Fantina
| TR_10_000970_00.png (https://www.pokebeach.com/news/2025/10/TR_10_000970_00.png) | TR_10_000980_00.png (https://www.pokebeach.com/news/2025/10/TR_10_000980_00.png) |
May is an interesting Supporter card. You exchange 2 random Pokemon from deck with 2 from your hand. You have to know what cards are in the deck before using this. Memorize your 20 card deck!
Fantina is a niche Supporter card that goes with Drifblim and Mismagius. Take 1 Psychic Energy from your Energy Zone and attach it to each of your Drifblim and Mismagius.
| PK_10_011900_00.png (https://www.pokebeach.com/news/2025/10/PK_10_011900_00.png) | PK_10_011820_00.png (https://www.pokebeach.com/news/2025/10/PK_10_011820_00.png) |
Lisia & Copycat
| TR_10_001000_00.png (https://www.pokebeach.com/news/2025/10/TR_10_001000_00.png) | TR_10_000990_00.png (https://www.pokebeach.com/news/2025/10/TR_10_000990_00.png) |
Lisia is a Pokemon search card that searches for 2 Random Basic Pokemon with 50 HP or less.
Copycat is an interesting Supporter card. This has the same effect in the regular card game from a few years ago. Shuffle your hand into your deck then draw a card for each card in your opponent's hand. Shuffle hand and then you copy the number of cards as your opponent. Copycat is good when the opponent has lots of cards in their hand.
Some Shiny Cards
The shiny card feature cards from previous sets. Why previous sets? I dunno.
There are so many shiny cards in the set so I feature a couple here.

Some Illustration Rares
There are a lot of illustration rares in this set. I show some of them.
