Hi there. In this travel post, our group is near the end of our vacation. We head out to Baiyun Airport in Guangzhou, China.
Taxi To Baiyun Airport
We took a taxi from our Hotel to the airport. I used Alipay to book a van taxi in advance. There was a lot of luggage for us to carry so a van taxi was convenient. The cheaper option was to use the metro but a few of the people in our group have two luggage. Extra luggages were purchased from the wholesale clothing market in Guangzhou. This taxi trip took about 60 to 70 minutes with a cost of around 50 CAD for the four of us.
Pictures of our van taxi. It was a Denza, one of the China brand cars.
Tree Pictures
We arrived at Baiyun Airport around 6 hours before our departure time. As there was a lot of waiting time, I decided to explore the airport for a bit. I did take a fair bit of pictures including these trees in the middle of the airport.
Food Museum Gallery Area
There is a food museum area showcasing dimsum and Cantonese food. It is located on the lower floor of this airport.
Time-Space Tunnel In Airport??!
There was one section of the airport that was really cool and unexpected. The section was called Time-Space Tunnel. It looked like a space station or something.
There was a lot of cool lighting along with dark areas. We don't have this at all at Toronto Pearson Airport.
Other Photos
Here are some other photos from the Baiyun Airport. There are colourful ads, shops and statues.
As we were waiting for our flights, we did have KFC. There are a good handful of restaurants available outside of the security area.
Thank you for reading.
