Hi. In this post, our group make our return trip from Guangzhou, China to Dubai and then back to Toronto. Our airline was Emirates.
Guangzhou To Dubai
We it came to checking in, the lineup was really long. As there is a lot of trade between African nations and China, there are quite a few African passengers with boxes of goods. Guangzhou, China is one major trading area for Africans and other non-Chinese people.
The Emirates flight from Guangzhou, China to Dubai, UAE took around 7 to 8 hours.
Dubai Hotel Stay + Food
If your stopover time in Dubai is between 8 to 26 hours in Economy or Premium Economy Class, then your Emirates flight includes a complimentary hotel stay before your next flight. The hotel stay also includes free buffet meals (up to 3 meals for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner).
The layover we had was around 22 hours. Each person in our group gets 3 meals.

Food Pictures
In the early part of our trip, we did explore Dubai and their mall. This time around, we did not want to explore too much. We wanted to rest for a bit and just explore the area outside of our hotel. Nighttime temperature at around 30 degrees Celsius was much more easier to handle versus 40 degrees during the September daytime.
Dubai International Airport
During the first visit of the Dubai Intl. Airport, I never really explored the area. This time around I decided to explore more of the Duty Free shops area. It was to pass the time and see what is out here.
They had a Hard Rock Cafe with a Lionel Messi Burger. Although I took a picture of this, I did not try this burger myself.
They have a gold store (not shown), a LEGO store, a smoking lounge and even a games arcade area.
Dubai Back To Toronto
The flight from Dubai to Toronto was around 12 hours. In economy class, you do get a lot of food. I was careful to not eat too much so I can avoid digestion issues on the plane.
I did manage to get some sleep on the plane even though there was a loud baby nearby. The headrest on the Emirates economy class seat do have flaps so you can rest your head off to the side. Looking back, a neck pillow was not really needed.
Returning To Toronto
We arrive back to Toronto's Pearson Airport. A few of us had to wait quite a bit for the luggage to arrive. The waiting area for the luggage was really messy. That is on the airport staff.
Our China trip was good overall. There were a few things we could have fixed but based on the information we had, the trip was enjoyable. The food there was great. I do plan for another China trip but not sure when. Flights from Toronto to China are expensive as the distance is large. However, the low hotel and food costs converting from Canadian Dollars (CAD) do help a lot.
That is the end of this travel post series. Thank you for following. I think I may have some pictures to share from my Vienna, Austria trip in 2023. That might be my next travel post.
Thank you for reading.
