Notably, this is another mega-hit by Danish Taimoor, paired with the highly talented Sara Khan. The drama is currently airing on ARY Channel, with 20 episodes broadcast so far. Fans worldwide are watching due to the top-notch story and commendable chemistry of the star cast, including Atiqa Odho, Sunita Marshall, and Nabeel.
Plot of the Drama
The story revolves around the conflict between two families due to a love marriage, with their rivalry later unfolding over property disputes. Things become messy when two educated individuals with foreign degrees get involved in this clash. Now, you must watch to see if their education will turn the tables or if they will compete in the same manner as their forefathers. Sunita, playing Samra, marries a member of the enemy family with her consent, and they respect her and treat her as a family member. Her sister-in-law, Shah Taj, was engaged to Raees Shah Zaman, who, despite loving her deeply, refused to marry her. Instead, he married twice, and his two wives differ completely in their thinking: one is conservative, less educated, and arrogant, while Tehmina embodies wisdom and grace. Raees Shah Zaman has two daughters and one son, Sher Zaman, played by Danish Taimoor, who is in the spotlight due to his education and humanitarian perspective. Even his blood relations are insincere, making him a direct enemy of his uncle and cousins. Fajar, played by Sara Khan, is a leading lady and psychologist who faces backlash due to one wrong decision. She must repay Sher for saving her dignity. Even her family, particularly her aunt Shah Taj, who cannot stand seeing anyone happy, is against her and serves as the main antagonist.
Acting, Chemistry & Cinematography
Regarding the acting, I wouldn’t hesitate to praise Shah Taj for her dialogue delivery and performance; she has brilliantly portrayed a woman who remains unmarried and lives in her maternal home. Her mindset and jealousy are depicted perfectly. As for Sher’s acting, he has shifted from his previous style, having faced criticism for displaying excessive misogynistic behavior in his last three to four dramas. Now, he has refined his approach. Portraying a psychopath isn’t challenging for such a versatile actor. As for Sara Khan, she needs no words to be appreciated; she is a remarkable actor who seamlessly adapts to each character, and this time, she plays a philanthropic doctor. Overall, the cinematography is outstanding, with the drama filmed in stunning locations.
My First Love for This Drama
As a music enthusiast, I was drawn to this drama primarily because of its OST, sung by Arif Lohar and the Strings band. The blend of folk Punjabi and love-themed lyrics is so captivating that even children are humming the song.
