The short story... Long time rocker turned successful producer teams up with old school legend for a one time hit.

No no no..That does not explain what Damon Albarn and artist Jamie Hewlett have done with Gorillaz.

The history is too long to explain. Basically, This virtual group lead by Damon Albarn creates a song to collaborate with another artist. Many famous artists have collaborated with the Gorillaz and they become one of the Gorillaz and part of the album.

The artwork of Jamie Hewlett has always kept me intrigued. Especially with the music videos. So in January 2020 they started an online deal called Song Machine. Which is probably the greatest thing they could do at the time because of the future Corona situation.

Sound machine is a season of songs instead of an album. Their first season is supposed to have ten songs. You also get that sweet art music video to go along with it. I find it great to identify with the "band" through all of this.
