Chu Dang Ya – The season of wild sunflowers blooming on the land of fire.

In the heart of the Gia Lai plateau, there is a special mountain - Chu Dang Ya volcano, a mountain that has been dormant for millions of years, but every November it awakens in the brilliant yellow color of wild sunflowers.

Chu Dang Ya is located about 30 km northeast of Pleiku city, in Chu Pah commune. From the center of Pleiku, it takes less than an hour's drive to reach the foot of the mountain - where the yellow flower season stretches to the sky.

Every year, from early November to late December, wild sunflowers bloom, covering the hillsides around the crater in gold. This is also the best time of year to take photos and feel the wild, charming beauty of the plateau.

From early morning, groups of tourists, backpackers and photographers come here. They choose the moment of dawn or late afternoon, when the sunlight is gently tilted, to capture the brilliant yellow color of the flowers in the softest light. Under the clear blue sky, the yellow color of wild sunflowers blends with the red color of basalt soil – creating a scene that can only be described in two words: magical.

The atmosphere in Chu Dang Ya these days is bustling but still peaceful. People take photos, laugh, and share beautiful frames with each other. And whether you are a photographer, a traveler, or just a person who loves to admire the scenery – you will find here a season of flowers of happiness.

The wild sunflower season in Chu Dang Ya volcano does not last long, only about a month. But for those who have been here, that image will stay forever – like a golden season in the memory of the plateau.
