I have made it to Batman #612. Jeph Loeb is intermingling different stories into what is his fifth chapter in a storyline that is the glue which is holding this piece together. Utilizing the magnificent drawings of Jim Lee with the assistance of Scott Williams, Loeb gets to further explore the human side that makes up the hero we've known for years.
Batman is smitten with Catwoman. Now, we see that Poison Ivy has Superman under her spell. The difference is that Bruce really has feelings for Selina. Clark has no idea that he is protecting Pamela. As of this issue, there has been no indication of the effects of this spell on Clark. And no reaction from Lois either! However, it lasts only for a short while as Superman save Lois from a fall.
The spell was created by Synthetic Green K that was in her lipstick. Poison Ivy escapes for a brief moment but Superman enlisted the help of a super-dog to track her down. Superman wasn't too pleased that Batman led Poison Ivy to the Daily Planet to break him from his spell. However, in the end and all through battle both Batman and Superman displayed an enormous amount of respect for each other.
