I made a decision to own more crochet wears this year and I am slowly working towards mu goal with every stitch and piece and this time I finally made the crochet short I've been wanting for almost 2 years. Yep I said two years I always say I will make it I will make it and for some reason I just never end up making it. But finally I sat and got it done.

The vibe I was going for was comfy and stylish. If you've been here long enough you know I'm mostly in baggy fits because I'm just that type of gal.

As much as I wanted it to be baggy I didn't want my regular just plain short I wanted something simple, stylish and cute, or at least that the idea I started the whole project with.

I feel the one thing that motivated me apart from me wanting to finally do something I've been digging for years is this cream color. I had it sitting on my rack for sometime and I actually forgot why I bought it. Or maybe I just found it pretty and didn't want to leave it so I grabbed it, but yeah it was there and one day I got got up and used it.

I ised cream as the majority because like I said earlier I wanted a cute color and up close this looks like a color you would use for a babies outfit and it sid the job well. I used maroon for detailing because I felt it was the beat option I had that would give me the exact look I wanted. I mentioned that I didn't want the regular plain fit but I also didn't want the second color to outshine the other. That's why it's not too much maroon, it's just the right amount.

I used double crochet. I wasn't really going for texture and to be fair I was trying to get up ss fast as I could so using a complicated stitch would have defeated that purpose

I did the waist band last actually I started with cream and since I didn't want to be switching colors I finished up all I had to do with cream before moving to the next color
I made increases close to the hips so it'll be mote loose from there downwards

I said it early and I'd say it again: simple , cute and casual. and I'm afraid it ate! I tried it on and it looked so cute and felt very comfortable. I did a little victory dance because why not but yeah it feels so good

The detailing and the bottom has a different idea though. Which was to make it kind of look like roots growing of the base.

Looking back now I know I had a ton of fun making this whole project
The supplies that I used in making this
