Months ago when I was still in the planning process for uyo fashion week 2025 and I wanted to make two dresses at that time so I could attend two shows like I did last year.

I made the pink dress I posted first and then this after.

I was going for something simple but also made a bold statement.

I'm not really a fan of outfits with a ton of designs, they look pretty but I wouldn't just want one for myself so most crochet fits I design for myself are mostly structured and plain which actually suits my style.

I got started with the mesh and I didn't want huge spaces in the dress so my 3.5mm was the best option for me.

I used my hip to start it out and then I just made a ton of rows till I got my desired length, that's the pattern I use for making bodycon mesh dresses because they shrink as you go so o just measure so it only expands at the hip I dunno if that makes sense.

Anyways I finished the dress and the only out of ordinary design I had was this lily patch I wanted to make for the top part and I'm not exaggerating when I say it took a whole lot of time.

I used a 1.7mm hook to make it and when it was finished

I first used Stitch markers to clearly mark where I'll be placing them then with the darning needle. That part was stressful lol. I'm just glad I had a body form to put it on. That made the whole process less stressful.

Now the down side is that when I finished making this dress and tried it on, it looked pretty. Don't get me wrong but it didn't quite come out like I imagined it.

It was just a simple dress. The bold statement wasn't really as I had hoped so I just slipped attending the second shoe and just went for one.

Right now I'm looking to wear my dress soon. Either a solo dinner date or a dinner date with my friends.

Honestly that's the vibe I'm getting from the dress. It's giving let's go out to a fancy restaurant in Italy 😅😅

I did feel a bit sad that it didn't serve its purpose but I'm also very happy that I'd get to wear it to something intimate and actually enjoy myself while I put on the dress.

I'm always considering starting up a YouTube channel and also putting up tutorials for some of the designs I've made. This new phase is so exciting and I'm here for all of it.
I still dunno what to call this dress though hopefully I get a good name before I make this post.
