Hello, friends at Home Solutions. Happy September. Today I want to share a new experience in my home with you. It's something I had been putting off, but at the same time really wanted to do. This time, I overcame my procrastination and set about organizing the bookcase. We have this bookcase in the living room, and it's full of books, notebooks, and some mementos.  I emptied all the shelves, and as they became empty, all the accumulated dust appeared. But the best part was discovering some interesting texts that I didn't remember were there.    My husband's mother did a great job investing in collections of encyclopedias, atlases, world maps, dictionaries in various languages, and many other texts. Each of these books is a valuable treasure and is very difficult to buy nowadays, at least in my country. They are intact, but some were misplaced. So, after dusting them off and cleaning the wooden cabinet with water and vinegar, I organized all the collections on the top shelf. Away from moisture and visible for easier access. Everything related to notebooks, folders, and very old or worn books, I placed on the lower shelves. Since they will not be visible because the furniture blocks this area. And some souvenirs, such as the children's graduation caps, on top.   We need an extra bookshelf to store some books and notebooks that are currently in boxes. Another option I have is to get plastic boxes because cardboard ones get damaged over time and don't protect them properly. This is how the library turned out. The truth is that the change is remarkable. Every time I see it, I feel that it was worth it and I no longer have that negative feeling I used to have when I saw the books scattered around in no particular order. Books are very important to me. My dad taught me to value and take care of them. It hurt me a lot to see that some of them were no longer in good condition, but they can still be useful. I hope to be able to restore them in the future. We often forget that we have these treasures at home, and now, with the ease that technology gives us, they often go unnoticed, but there's nothing like leafing through a good book, some of which cannot be found on the internet. One way to keep them in good condition is to place them in the sun or outdoors from time to time, especially in areas with cold or humid climates. Organizing your library is an easy task and can be very interesting. My recommendation is to sort by size or type, and also evaluate how to optimize space. Sometimes it is best to place books vertically, but in some spaces it is better to place them horizontally. It all depends on the design of the furniture and the size of the books. Hoy quiero compartirles una nueva experiencia en mi hogar. Una actividad que estaba postergando, pero que al mismo tiempo anhelaba realizar. Esta vez vencí la procrastinación y me dispuse a organizar la biblioteca. Esta biblioteca la tenemos en la sala y está repleta de libros, cuadernos y algunos recuerdos.  Liberé todos los estantes y, a medida que estos quedaban vacíos, aparecía todo el polvo acumulado. Pero lo mejor de todo fue descubrir algunos textos interesantes que no recordaba que estaban ahí.    La mamá de mi esposo realizó un gran trabajo invirtiendo en colecciones de enciclopedias, Atlas, Mapamundi, Diccionarios de varios idiomas y muchos textos más. Cada libro de estos son tesoros valiosos y en la actualidad son muy difíciles de comprar, al menos en mi país. Están intactos, pero algunos estaban mal ubicados. Así que, después de sacudir el polvo y limpiar el mueble de madera con agua y vinagre, organicé todas las colecciones en el estante superior. Lejos de la húmeda y visibles para acceder a ellos de una manera más fácil. Todo lo relacionado con cuadernos, carpetas y libros muy viejos o desgastados, los coloqué en los estantes inferiores. Ya que no estarán visibles porque los muebles ocluyen esta área. Y algunos recuerdos como el birrete de los niños en la parte superior.   Nos hace falta un librero extra, para incorporar algunos textos y cuadernos que están en cajas. Otra opción que tengo es conseguir cajas de plástico porque las de cartón se terminan dañando con el tiempo y no los protegen correctamente. Así quedó la biblioteca. La verdad es que el cambio es notable. Cada vez que la veo, siento que valió la pena y ya no me causa esa sensación negativa que me causaba antes al ver los libros arrumados sin ningún orden. Para mí los libros son muy importantes. Mi papá me enseñó a valorarlos y cuidarlos. Me dolía mucho ver que algunos ya no estaban en buen estado, pero aún pueden llegar a ser útiles. Espero, más adelante, poder restaurarlos. Muchas veces olvidamos que tenemos estos tesoros en casa y ahora con esa facilidad que nos da el uso de la tecnología muchas veces pasan desapercibidos pero nada como hojear un buen libro yo algunos de ellos no se encuentran en internet. Una manera de mantenerlos en buen estado es colocarlos al sol o al aire libre de vez en cuando, especialmente en zonas con climas frios o humedos. Organizar la biblioteca es una tarea fácil y puede llegar a ser muy interesante, mi recomendación es ordenar por tamaños o tipo, también evaluar como optimizar el espacio, algunas veces conviene colocar los libros en sentido vertical, pero en algunos espacios conviene colocarlos en horizontal, todo depende del diseño del mueble y del tamaño de los libros.
