Hello Hivers it’s me doughnahhh back with another blog series. This time I want to share with you all the situation in Northern Cebu after the strong earthquake that impacted Northern Cebu and struck there. I captured it, I think it was 2 weeks or 3 weeks ago. Many people, including my own family, also have lost homes. I already shared some of our experiences after this blog post of mine about what happened to our house, but this time I want to give some updates on the situation of the other people that we can only see on the mainline or main road.
Along the roads, you could see people in northern Cebu starting sogod as they were waiting and seeking help at that time after the earthquake, also in hopes that they would receive relief goods or drinking water because at that time, the people of northern Cebu had no access of clean water and most stores were closed at that time. That's why they were waiting at the road in hopes of receiving relief goods or drinking water.

Most residents have nowhere else to go because some lost their homes due to the strong earthquake that impacted them, mostly in northern Cebu and people are staying outside in open areas some are staying beside the road because they are afraid to return indoors due to the very constant aftershocks and the houses have mostly lots of cracks and are broken already.

The aftershocks will still occur almost every few minutes, which can scare and traumatize to all people who are living in the northern part of Cebu. They have been living in fear up until now because the aftershocks are still going it will be mild sometimes but sometimes it will become strong and they are unsure when the next one will hit.
Now, almost a month after the strong earthquake that has impacted the northern part of Cebu, the area is slowly beginning to recover from food and water shortages that have been encountered after the strong earthquake thanks to those who are generous people who sent their help and donations from people in Northern Cebu who reached out to support those affected. However, one of the biggest challenges that still remains is the lack of housing materials. Many families, including mine, lost homes during the earthquake. We are still living in tarps or tents because we have not yet built a house. While there is progress in some areas, rebuilding a house and starting over will take time, effort, and continued assistance. You should have enough budget to start and rebuild a house, and for now we don't have it yet, huhu.
That's all for now my dear Hivers and by the way I just want to take a moment to express my very heartfelt gratitude to all of you who have been taking the time to read and engage with this blog of mine. This support really means the world to me thank you all so much and I very truly appreciate each and every one. Whether you have been following along with me from the beginning or even just recently discovered my work, your all presence here is what keeps me going doing this blog. Thank you for your feedback and also continued interest I really appreciate it. Until next time, stay safe everyone
