Hola a todos los que se acercan a éste post, el día de hoy después de más o menos 3 semanas sin hacer senderismo de montaña decidí hacer una ruta nueva y que fuera exigente. Hoy decidí hacer la ruta de Sabas Nieves hasta el hotel Humboldt 😁

Es una ruta particularmente larga, empecé a subir un poco tarde para la hora a la que acostumbro a subir, empecé a caminar a las 9:09 am desde la plaza Francia en Altamira por cierto que en ayunas. De ahí, mi primera parada oficial fue en lo que llaman "El Banco" la vista es genial desde ahí.

Luego pasé por "No te apures" (Ni idea de porqué el nombre)

Luego llegué a dónde llaman La Silla que no sé porqué lo llaman así 😅 (si alguien sabe por favor dígame) ya en éste punto estaba bastante nublado, a pesar de que el día empezó bastante soleado.

Luego estaba uno de los mejores lugares a los que he llegado, hasta el momento, en el Ávila. Éste punto se llama "Las piedras flotantes" y salen unas fotos geniales, pero como estaba solo no me la pude tomar, no quise molestar a las personas que estaban ahí.

Ahora viendo las fotos, me doy cuenta de que no tomé unas buenas fotos que hicieran alusión al nombre del lugar pero pueden buscarlo en Google maps, hay muy buenas fotos. La verdad en éste lugar estuve un rato sentado pensando y admirando la belleza de la vista del lugar, viendo como las nubes pasaban a través de los que hay estábamos y viendo de vez en cuándo la ciudad de La Guaira la cuál se ve desde ese punto con una gran vista.

Después de las piedras flotantes llegué al Pico Occidental, y en ese punto empezó a llover. La verdad fue emocionante y una experiencia que deseo que todos puedan experimentar, esa lluvia siento que me renovó, la lluvia estuvo desde ahí hasta Lagunazo.

Hasta ahora no he hecho mención de que me conseguí con un muchacho con el cual estuve desde Pico Occidental hasta Lagunazo, nos habíamos visto en un punto más abajo y me preguntó algunas cosas respecto a la ruta, luego estuvimos conversando un poco en el camino.

De Lagunazo hacia el hotel Humboldt estaba ya un poco cansado, tenía casi 6 horas caminando en el camino me encontré un particular habitante de la zona 😂 el cuál de seguro nadie se imaginaría que alguien de su especie estuviera ahí.

Ya en el hotel Humboldt no había lluvia y estaba empezando a salir el sol, disfruté mucho ésta ruta, conocí lugares nuevos para mí, y disfruté de vistas muy, muy buenas, seguramente repita ésta ruta o al menos hasta las piedras flotantes me gustó mucho ese lugar.

Me despidió y los invito a hacer alguna actividad física y/o recreativa que los ponga en contacto con la naturaleza. Aprovecho para pedirle disculpas @avdesing que me invitó a hacer un post con la iniciativa y/o temática de senderismo y no pude hacerlo, estaba en esos días de viaje y sin internet en mi lugar de hospedaje. Luego estaré compartiendo algunas cosas de mi viaje y algunas reflexiones que hice durante él.

Hello everyone who's reading this post, today, after about three weeks without mountain hiking, I decided to try a new, challenging route. Today I decided to take the Sabas Nieves route to the Humboldt Hotel 😁

It's a particularly long route. I started climbing a little late for my usual time. I started walking at 9:09 am from Plaza Francia (France Square) in Altamira, by the way, on an empty stomach. From there, my first official stop was at what they call "El Banco" (The Bank). The view from there is fantastic.

Then I went through "No te Apures" ("Don't Hurry") (No idea why that name)

Then I got to what they call La Silla (the chair), which I don't know why they call it that 😅 (if anyone knows, please let me know). At this point, it was already quite cloudy, even though the day started out quite sunny.

Then there was one of the best places I've been to so far in Ávila. This spot is called "Las Piedras Flotas" (The Floating Stones), and it takes some great photos, but since I was alone, I couldn't take one because I didn't want to disturb the people there.

Now looking at the photos, I realize I didn't take any good photos that alluded to the name of the place, but you can search for it on Google Maps; there are some very good ones. The truth is, I sat there for a while, thinking and admiring the beautiful view, watching the clouds pass through us, and occasionally catching glimpses of the city of La Guaira, which is a great view from that point.

After the floating stones, I reached the Western Peak, and at that point it started to rain. It was truly exciting and an experience I wish everyone could experience. I feel like that rain renewed me. It rained from there to Lagunazo.

So far, I haven't mentioned that I ran into a guy I'd been with from Pico Occidental to Lagunazo. We'd met up at a point further down, and he asked me a few things about the route. We chatted a bit along the way.

From Lagunazo to the Humboldt Hotel, I was already a little tired. I had been walking for almost 6 hours. On the way, I met a peculiar local resident 😂 who surely no one would imagine someone of his species was there.

By now, it had stopped raining at the Humboldt Hotel and the sun was just beginning to rise. I really enjoyed this route. I discovered new places and enjoyed some very, very good views. I will definitely repeat this route, or at least I liked the floating stones there.

I take this opportunity to apologize to @avdesing who invited me to do a post with the hiking initiative and/or theme, but I couldn't do it. I was traveling at the time and had no internet at my place of accommodation. Later, I'll be sharing some things from my trip and some reflections I had during it.
