You know those forest was a quiet one, it was safe for those crunch and there was so much leaves under my boots, so I was going for a usual stroll as usual. When I saw a lady, an old one, just sitting on that fallen log. Her dress was that bright red scarf, a bright red walnut gown and she was having a worried face. Her walking stick also fell as she was walking, as she was sitting down. So that small dog was close to her feet. I don't know what it was trying to pick.

Then I walked close to her and asked if she is alright, pulling out those ear buds. And at that moment she looked up, then started to smile frankly. Then she went on to say that she has twisted an ankle, she said with a warmed voice. I was thinking, my puppy here won't move without backing up a stone. So could you try to accompany me back home, it's not too far.

At first I watched, I don't know where urgent to go at the moment, so I offered the help to get her home. I offered my arm and she leaned on it. We were walking while the dog was walking. The dog was walking close to what was behind. Her name, she told me, was Helen. She said that she'd been hiking all these woods since she was already a kid. She said she used to run through these trails. When she was young. But now, she feels that even the puppy behind her can outpace her at any moment.

As we were walking, she started to point at those little things. Those little things are an experience she's been going through. So I find myself suddenly slowing down. Noticing the things around me in a new way. The dog was just around chasing squirrel rats and other things across the road. It seems that her worry was easing. And we got to her home sooner than I expected. Her car was already parked nearby.

After I left her, she thanked me. Helen said, fishing out her kids to her home. You have made me feel safe and welcome. I never thought I would find someone or a stranger that is as kind as you. So I decided to wave it off. But as I watched how she drove away. How she entered her house. Daisy was still barking and playing around.

But I felt happy. I accompanied a lady that wasn't able to walk back home. It wasn't just about the kindness. It was also about the story that we shared along the way.
