I grew up in a town where we are told about a legend singing about the throat. Or should we call it throat of the song, is a place where ocean waves sound like as if it was making a melodious sound. As they always tell us, if you sing and you sing into the air with your deepest wish, it will echo back with an answer. And I love this. I love music but never always sing aloud.
Sometimes it’s through the titans, and sometimes I wish to find the courage, even though it’s not that clear. Sometimes I go close to the sea, singing loud when no one is there, and watching how the waves carry my voice to the other side. The throat of the song is what’s called it in the dark, and we don’t know what might happen.
Sometimes I feel scared to waste my voice, and the voice becomes shaky at first. I knew I want to be heard by everyone, but I’m still afraid to speak up. I begin to amplify my song, and the waves keep harmonizing with it. I’m shocked of how the world turns out.
I think I should return back to the village where I’ll see people to talk to. Maybe from that night I will think at every chance that I find myself not minding my truth or thinking it to serve as a barrier to render my dreams.
