Brother Eli reminded us of about how limited our nature as human is designed by God. How far we can see, our strengths and the way we can think are limited as humans.
Brother Eli pointed out that our eyes can only capture and alter various or infinite lights. Unlike a dove which God has gifted with a high vision. This boundary allows us to be humbling the character.
This shows that every aspect of people is humbling. Our existence also has limits. This is naturally said by God. Brother Eli made emphasis on how we think and how we can stretch our belief beyond this physical constraint.
Sometimes even to our detriment. That is why we need to guide our mind because our mind when not guided can lead us astray. We need divine wisdom to guide our mind.
In the book of Romans chapter 2 verse 3. We have been shared that God has taught us not to think highly of ourselves that we ought to think but to think soberly.
This scripture is trying to tell us that our thoughts must be disciplined. We must be disciplined through the guidance of God's words. True freedom is not found by thinking what we desire, although God gives us the liberty to think freely but we must align our minds and thoughts to God's truth.
We measure our faith that God guided us in the foundation for being humble even if in our ways and in our thinking. When we submit our faith to God, we will be humble. So when we submit our thoughts that are being guided we avoid those pitfalls and those self-destructive thinking.
Let us put our mind on God's word. Embracing the discipline and living the wise life which has limits just as God has said for us because he loves us so much and want what is the best for us.
