After listening to the Bro Eli teaching about the one who stands out, faith must be centered on the one whom God has appointed, not our ancestors or tradition.

In Matthew 17:5, the voice from heaven said, this is my beloved son in whom I am well pleased. So this statement settles the matter. God didn't tell us to listen to Moses, Elijah, or any of our fathers.

God has been commanded to us to hear his son, Jesus Christ. Sometimes people who tend to the teachings or the customs pass down to the ancestors, thinking it will honor them.

Brother Eli showed us that reality can unknowingly lead us away from the truth. It's not that our ancestors were evil or they did the wrong thing. It's simply that they were limited by their time, their culture, and human understanding.

Only the son of God speaks complete truths that have led to eternal life. When it comes to Elijah, as Hebrews 1:1-2 has declared that God speaks to us through his son. That means that we no longer follow the words of men, but that of the living God, Christ himself. Faith is obedience to the voice of the father who said, hear, hear him. To believe in Christ is to walk in truth.
