Brother Eli taught us that eating goes beyond nourishing our body or giving us strength.
It is both a physical and a spiritual act that we do according to faith. I'm showing gratitude for what is being provided for us always.
1 Timothy 4-5 emphasizes that every creature of God is perfectly made and should be received with thanksgiving, also through prayer and the Word. This is a good perspective which goes ahead and aligns with the idea of the food that we consume. With a peaceful heart, this food also are meant to nourish both our body and soul, giving us strength spiritually and physically.
When your mind is troubled or stressed or not at rest, it can hinder your digestion of food being eaten, which can cause problems to your health also. We must be strong both physically and spiritually in order to eat good food and to digest well.
We have been warned by the Bible earlier against the combination of certain foods like eating meat and milk, which sometimes can disrupt our body balance. We have been warned also about eating processed foods. which contains so many harmful chemicals instead.
Brother Eli encourages us to eat fresh food, food made naturally by hand, God-given foods such as fruits, carrots, vegetables. And when we are eating all this, we should eat it with faith and gratitude. Let us eat intentionally, thanking God for what he has provided for us, choosing a healthy food and living in peace.
This encourages spiritual growth in all our lives as believers.
