Why do I love this cactus? In short, because it blooms beautifully and I also call it a spectacular flower. Each individual flower usually lasts only one day, but the cactus can produce successive waves of buds, so the floral display lasts for several weeks. That makes it my favorite flower, and if you plant it in several places, it can make your space or garden look beautiful. One year I planted it in the yard between the stones, on the sidewalk, where no other flower could grow, and while it bloomed, passersby stood and admired it. But when it snowed, it couldn't survive, so now I've decided to keep it in a pot. 503539323_2153770301787725_1536321927179759565_n.jpg 502616879_2153770401787715_1027757392265055900_n.jpg 483748731_2087292988435457_5826860158205157553_n.jpg Echinopsis chamaecereus It is called the peanut cactus because of the characteristic appearance of its young shoots, which resemble elongated peanut kernels. With age and development, these shoots become longer. In my area it is also called the finger cactus 481267791_2080912959073460_7351422076667386634_n.jpg 482064219_2080912935740129_7219439870846722004_n.jpg 482024142_2080912732406816_3053349027550239606_n.jpg 481664386_2080912962406793_7094509094215236761_n.jpg 481947038_2080912955740127_2604331245534829047_n.jpg 481668688_2080912915740131_2725397936528601887_n.jpg This cactus is quite shallow and does not require a great depth of substrate, which makes it easy to transplant and propagate. It looks perfect when combined with several cacti. It likes bright places but not too much sun. When I keep it in my apartment, it is never in a heated room because it can withstand colder temperatures but not frost. 481769287_2080912589073497_1784352420495623068_n.jpg 482028668_2080912585740164_8160398078758449564_n.jpg 481902012_2080912829073473_7734744952239787802_n.jpg When I pot it up I use a well-drained soil. I mix 1 part universal substrate or cactus soil, 1 part peat or compost and 1 part coarse sand, perlite or volcanic gravel. You can also add a small amount of mature manure if you use it in gardens. 482028841_2080912965740126_2495928315658879314_n.jpg 482025518_2080912852406804_7689628895361821810_n.jpg 481896812_2080912825740140_6860606677317266071_n.jpg 496032817_2132562893908466_2647209046362552068_n.jpg Thank you for reading and I hope you found it interesting.
