But fate was cruel. During a storm, the cowboy was swept away by the current and was never seen again. Aurora, desperate, spent days wandering the banks of the stream, calling for him. Until, one silent night, she disappeared. Her body was never found.

Since then, male residents, especially married men, have claimed to see a blonde woman dressed in white walking slowly along the stream's edge.
She sings a sad melody, as if calling for someone. Some say that, as she approaches, her face transforms—her eyes go blank, and her mouth opens in a silent scream. Those who try to talk to or follow the apparition end up getting lost in the woods or returning with a high fever and no memory of what they saw. I confess that when I was a child, I was a little afraid of her; she appears when my father's old Volkswagen Beetle put out the fire right in the middle of the Riacho Bridge.

Olá pessoal! Sejam bem-vindos ao @dreloop07 hoje vou contar sobre lenda daqui da minha região do Piauí, que é a lenda da loira do Riacho dos Bois.
A lenda da Loira do Riacho dos Bois é uma variação regional das famosas histórias de aparições femininas em locais isolados, como a “Loira do Banheiro” ou a “Mulher de Branco”. Embora não haja registros amplamente documentados sobre essa versão específica, ela parece seguir o padrão das lendas urbanas brasileiras que misturam mistério, tragédia e elementos sobrenaturais.
Dizem que as meia noite, quando o vento sopra entre as árvores e o riacho murmura como se contasse segredos antigos, uma figura feminina de cabelos dourados aparece nas margens do Riacho dos Bois, entre a cidade de Guadalupe e povoado Artur passos, no estado do Piauí.

Segundo os mais velhos, a loira era uma jovem chamada Aurora, filha de um fazendeiro influente da região. Ela se apaixonou por um vaqueiro humilde, o que causou a fúria de seu pai. Proibida de viver esse amor, Aurora fugiu com o rapaz e se escondeu nas matas próximas ao riacho.
Mas o destino foi cruel. Durante uma tempestade, o vaqueiro foi levado pela correnteza e nunca mais foi visto. Aurora, desesperada, passou dias vagando pelas margens do riacho, chamando por ele. Até que, numa noite silenciosa, ela desapareceu. Seu corpo nunca foi encontrado.

Desde então, moradores do sexo masculino, sobretudo homens casados, afirmam ver uma mulher loira, vestida de branco, caminhando lentamente pela beira do riacho.
Ela canta uma melodia triste, como se chamasse por alguém. Alguns dizem que, ao se aproximar, seu rosto se transforma — os olhos ficam vazios, e a boca se abre num grito silencioso. Quem tenta conversar ou seguir a aparição, acaba se perdendo na mata ou voltando com febre alta e sem memória do que viu. Confesso que quando era criança fiquei um pouco com medo dela aparece quando o antigo fusca de meu pai apagou o fogo bem no meio da ponte do Riacho.
