He estado ocupado diseñando, pensando en historias y editando videos, así que he tenido que dejar esta plataforma de lado toda esta semana, pero acá hago un resumen de lo que ha sucedido y comparto las cuatro lecturas de Runas que he hecho hasta ahora, pues sus mensajes son bastante amables y propicios para el comienzo de este nuevo mes.
I've bee busy designing, thinking of stories and editing videos, so I've had to leave this platform aside this whole week, but here I summarize what's happened and share the four Rune readings that I've done so far, because their messages are quite kind and propitious for the start of this new month.

El sábado pasado hubo un evento público en Caracas celebrando los 96 años de la Urbanización Los Palos Grandes, que se encuentra cerca de mi casa y en donde también vive mi compañero en la Escuela de Esgrima. Nuestro plan era entrenar y luego unirnos al evento como transeúntes, pues nuestra participación como exponentes era complicada en esta ocasión. El entrenamiento estuvo excelente, reconecté con la espada larga, que fue con la que comencé este proceso de aprendizaje y cuyo manejo me gusta mucho, pero cuando terminamos de entrenar y decidimos salir, nos dimos cuenta de que el evento era bastante ruidoso y yo personalmente lo sentía desagradable. En primer lugar, era evidente que tuvieron problemas de organización, pues el espacio del evento era menos del 50% de lo que usualmente han estalecido en años anteriores, y las estaciones eran "móviles", no fijas, lo que implicaba que también les costó cuadrar los lugares con locales y vecinos, y fue una de las principales razones por las cuales no quisimos participar activamente.
En general, todo lo que vimos fue gente bebiendo y bailando, una apariencia de felicidad que por debajo ocultaba algo más rancio. Incluso pude identificar que habían vibras de magia torcida en el sitio. En dos ocasiones identifiqué tabaco en el aire y dos fuertes truenos cayeron poco después de que comenzasemos nuestra caminata, lo que para mí eran señales claras de la presencia de Changó, el Orisha de las Tormentas. Yo dejé a mis amigos a eso de las 6:30 porque quería regresar a casa a comer, no estaba disfrutando el ambiente y el cielo amenazaba lluvia. Ya casi llegando a mi casa, las gotas comenzaron a caer y me mojé un poco, pero no tanto como toda la gente que se quedó en el evento, a quienes les llovió con fuerza prácticamente toda la noche. No me imagino cuántas personas desarrollaron resfriados allí, y los habitantes de la zona, incluído mi amigo, no pudo dormir por el escándalo. Seguramente hubo gente que disfrutó eso de verdad, pero no creo que haya sido la mayoría. La algarabía no es lo mismo que la alegría.
Last Saturday there was a public event in Caracas celebrating the 96th anniversary of the Los Palos Grandes urbanization, which is located near my house and also where my friend from the Fencing School lives. Our plan was to train and then join the even as pedestrians, because our participation as exhibitors was complicated in this occasion. The training was excellent, I reconnected with the longsword, which was the one I began this learning process with and whose handling I like a lot, but when we finished training and decided to go out, we realized that the event was pretty noisy and I personally felt it unpleasant. Firstly, it was obvious that they had organizational problems, because the space of the event was less than 50% of what they've usually established in previous years, and the stations were "mobile", not fixed, which implied that they also had issues setting up the places with the shops and the neighbors, and that was one of the main reasons why we didn't want to actively participate.
In general, all that we saw were people drinking and dancing, an appearance of happiness that was hiding something more rancid underneath. I could even identify that there were vibes of twisted magic in the area. In two occasions I identified cigar tobacco in the air and two strong thunders fell shortly after we began our walk, which for me were clear signs of the presence of Changó, the Orisha of Storms. I left my friends at about 6:30 pm because I wanted to return home to eat, I wasn't enjoying the environment and the sky was threatening with rain. Almost arriving home, the drops started to fall and I got a bit wet, but not as much as the people who stayed in the event, upon whom it rained strongly for practically the whole night. I can't imagine how many people developed colds there, and the inhabitants of the area, including my friend, could sleep due to the ruckus. Surely there were some people who truly enjoyed that, but I don't think they were the majority. Hullabaloo isn't the same as joy.

El domingo, jugué la última sesión de una historia de El Señor de los Anillos localizada en La Comarca that he estado narrando por los últimos meses. Fue una experiencia realmente buena y usamos una feria de comida que no habíamos usado hasta ahora, ubicada en el Centro Comercial Líder al este de donde vivo. Un amigo mío compró una torta para celebrar el final de la campaña y estaba bastante buena. También atrajimos algo de atención en el buen sentido, lo cual era lo que esperaba, para saber si podría usar ese lugar para mis juegos de ahora en adelante. Ése fue disfrute genuino and me sentido genial luego. Entre eso y el final de "Lazarus", la serie animada optimista que estaba viendo, recibí el impulso que necesitaba para comenzar con todo este trabajo de diseño y edición que he estado haciendo esta semana y que continuaré en las semanas que vienen.
Mañana se supone que narraré otra histria, pero no hay jugadores que hayan confirmado su asistencia y no quiero movilizarme innecesariamente, así que es probable que cancelaré en esta ocasión, pero prearé la misma historia para un evento que estoy organizando para el 19 de julio, así que me siento bien con esa cancelación. También estoy cerca de finalizar mi curso de francés y ayer, comencé a leer El Conde de Monte Cristo, una de mis novelas favoritas, en su idioma original por primera vez. Además, reinicié mi rutina de ejercicios esta semana.
La vida es buena en este momento.
On Sunday, I set up the last session of a Lord of the Rings story set in The Shire that I'd been narrating for the past few months. It was a really good experience and we used a food hall that we hadn't used until now, located in the Líder Mall to the east of where I live. A friend of mine got a cake to celebrate the end of the campaign and it was pretty good. We also drew a bit of attention in the good sense, which is what I was hoping for, so as to know that I could use this place for my games from now on. That was genuine enjoyment and I felt great afterwards. Between that and the end of "Lazarus", the feel-good anime that I was watching, I got the boost that I needed to begin all of this design and editing work that I've been doing this week and which will continue for the weeks to come.
Tomorrow I'm supposed to narrate another story, but no players have confirmed attendance and I don't want to mobilize needlessly, so it's likely that I'll cancel this time, but I prepared the same story for an event that I'm organizing for July 19th, so I'm good with this cancelation. I'm also close to finishing my French course and yesterday, I began reading The Count of Monte Cristo, one of my favorite novels, in its original language for the first time. Additionally, I resumed my workout routine this week.
Life is good right now.
