Theme - 1930s and 1940s music
For quite a while now I've been willing to play autumn leaves but I don't know why it keeps skipping my mind... So on a calm morning when I woke, I was reminiscing the song over and over again and I checked the year it was released , to my surprised it was released 1945 which means it fits in the week's theme. Autumn Leaves" is the English version of the French song "Les Feuilles mortes" ("The Dead Leaves"). Checkout my cover of the song πΆπ https://youtu.be/ygMiBq8QjeQ?si=rtUTYwHnlKQkNhBa
Lyrics πΆπ
The falling leaves drift by the window The autumn leaves of red and gold I see your lips, the summer kisses The sun-burned hands I used to hold
Since you went away the days grow long And soon I'll hear old winter's song But I miss you most of all my darling
When autumn leaves start to fall Since you went away the days grow long And soon I'll hear old winter's song But I miss you most of all my darling When autumn leaves start to fall
