Good to be back after over a week away. Still struggling on my old busted phone with half a screen, but I can't afford to slip further down the yearly leaderboard. I'm almost out of the Top100!

So my my three siblings were all in town for the engagement party for my younger sister last weekend. Mom decided to treat us and her 3 grandchildren to a light show at the New York Botanical Garden. The theme this year was based on Tim Burton's hit animated movie A Nightmate Before Christmas.

The songs played in the background and winded around the gardens for a nice hour-long stroll. There were many Instagramable moments along the way. The most stunning effect in the park was a Jack-O-Lantern that created bubbles filled with vapor. When the bubbles burst, out popped the cool stream trapped in the bubbles. We all had a blast with that stop on the trail.

After the stroll through the park, my partner and I walked over to the historic Italian enclave on Arthur Avenue in The Bronx for a nice Neapolitan pizza before hour 1.5 hour subway ride home. We were both gassed from the trip (and 20K+ steps) when we got back, so I'd say the trip was a huge success. Until next time...
