This guest post is not only to present this design edition to raise awareness about the different situations we normally ignore.

Today I found a dog trying to get into the trash, and I feel that it is not just another animal, but a life that asks for and deserves some affection. I would have liked to give it some water and food, but I can only share its story. I think this small gesture speaks for itself.

Here in Venezuela, shortages due to systemic failures affect us all, especially animals like this one, who also suffer from hunger, cold, and loneliness.

On my way home from work, under a blue sky but with strong sun and overwhelming heat, I came across this dog searching through the trash, and I quickly thought about stopping complaining about what I am going through. In a way, I identified with this dog, since many years ago I found myself in a situation where I also had to search for food in the trash. It's not the same, but human beings, with the abilities we have, cannot compare ourselves to a dog, even though we sometimes live like them.

• But thinking about it, a dog cannot express itself. It cannot speak, it cannot express its emotions. Or can it?

Tell me what you think when you look at that face, that lost dog's gaze, that suffering it holds there, something that neither you nor I will ever know what this dog has seen and experienced. I know that I quickly took out my cell phone and took the picture, but immediately the dog jumped out of the trash cans and ran away terrified. It had a great impact on me. Sometimes I can't explain how I can be so empathetic on some occasions.

Anyway, I feel that this situation with the dog affected me a little today, but when I got home, took the photo, and opened the editing app, I managed to create the image shown at the beginning, which says, "Be careful, they see you in other people's trash." We are referring to many things, and above all, a situation that you and I have surely experienced, and I'm not talking about literally rummaging through other people's trash. In this case, I'm putting it in the context of relationships and friendships, since an old friend is now romantically involved with my former partner, and that's where I got this idea of "be careful, they'll see you rummaging through the trash." There are people out there who are totally disposable.

You probably think I'm crazy when you read my posts, but sometimes I know it's not my fault. There are so many experiences, so many situations that I face day after day. I hope you like this type of image editing, as creativity is infinite.
