Welcome to the latest DUO update post. We hope you all had a great weekend so far, we are looking to expand our offering, right now our whole model is dependent and reliant on the inflation model of hive for us to distribute curation and divs, needless to say that is not a long term sustainable approach, also it is wise to not have all your eggs in one basket, now some of our stakers brough up question about maybe going cross-chain this is a wonderful idea however if all we have is our current single revenue stream it makes no sense.

However if we expand our offering then this would not only make DUO more stable and attractive but also give us a better reason to be a cross-chain operation.

We are looking to provide collateralized loans as a service, this is a long proven working business model however there is one roadblock, Getting funding for these loans, We are thinking of offsetting some of our current operation profits (curation and author rewards into funds for these loans.

But as you all know we value the opinions or our stakers so we want to see what you all say about that, basically it's taking less now to get more in the future.

Beside that there is a lot more, we are also exploring ways to make DUO decentralized and not dependent on us (the core team) that way DUO could be an investment one could potentially hand down to their children!

HP/DUO Ratio

As @bitcoinman mentioned before the ratio is slowly going up, our tip bot is fairly conservative also we grow HP from our curation and posting activity, however not counting these 2 to make the math simple our ratio should be around this at the end of the tranches sales

Important

DUO stakers are free to unstake as they please however we ask that when you do so you notify the DUO team, we set the curation up manually and letting us know keeps things fair for the other stakers.

Failure to do so will result in a 50% drop on curation on the remaining stake (Assuming its over 200 after the unstake as a reminder 200 is our minimum for curation) for a period of 1 week, there is no penalty for unstaking, only if it's done without notification to the DUO team.

We have targeted voting weights however they may be adjusted to ensure that @duo-curator is maintaining healthy mana levels.

Manual curation

When the voting mana is running high (above 85%) we have created a queue of our stakers who will receive an increased manual upvote when this is happening. First you must receive a normal vote from the @duo-curator to be eligible for the boost. The boost percentage will be up to 50% of a vote. Once you receive an additional curation your name moves to the bottom of the list so that everyone has a chance to benefit from this. New stakers that buy and stake at least 200 DUO will start at the bottom of the list to be fair.
