[ES/EN] Alien Earth - Episode 8 and Final Review | A good series, but inconsistent

With a week now since the release of the eighth and final episode of Alien: Earth, I want to talk about the finale and the series in general, with its positive aspects and complaints about the plot, and what I think about a second season:

The Alien: Earth finale, The Real Monsters, closes the season with the escalating rebellion of the Prodigy hybrids, led by Wendy. The Lost Boys realize they are not victims, but a new species with free will, and decide to overturn the power hierarchy on the island. Wendy uses her unique and controversial connection to manipulate the facility’s technology and, crucially, to weaponize the Xenomorph, demonstrating an unprecedented level of control over the creature. The episode features violent clashes between cyborgs and synthetics, as well as the terror caused by the release of other alien specimens like T. Ocellus (The Eye), which finds a chilling new host. The series culminates with the hybrids securing their creators in cells, just as the forces of the Weyland-Yutani arrive on the island, setting up an imminent full-scale intercorporate conflict that threatens to unleash alien chaos on Earth.

El episodio final de Alien: Earth, The Real Monsters, cierra la temporada con la escalada de la rebelión de los híbridos de Prodigy, liderados por Wendy. The eighth episode of Alien: Earth, titled The Real Monsters or something similar, marks the climax and season finale. The island of Prodigy is plunged into chaos with communications down and the imminent arrival of Yutani forces. The adult xenomorph and other creatures are on the loose, while security teams try to contain the situation, losing men.

Amid the confusion, the transformed and empowered synthetic child Wendy orchestrates the Lost Boys' revenge on the humans who experimented on them. Wendy manipulates the systems, freeing the captive synthetics and scaring the humans. It is revealed that Atom Eines, Kavalier's right-hand man, is a synthetic he created. Wendy's brother Joe attempts to save her, but is caught in the act when Wendy and the other synthetics, including Slightley and Smee, initiate their plan.

Finally, Wendy and the Lost Boys capture the main culprits (Kavalier, Kirsh, Sylvia, Morrow, and Atom), locking them in cells and proclaiming their dominance.

As an episode it was full of action, but little character development where many barely changed and both for a season finale or a definitive end to a series where only Wendy changed dramatically while the other hybrids barely changed and became her henchmen while Wendy's brother who was Hermit began giving a first impression of being soft and continues doing what you tell him whoever he is even when he meets Morrow being a Cyborg he is a solid character as an antagonist but most of the other characters like Boy Kavalier who is seen as someone with problems when his past is revealed is neither shocking nor provides much information because already during the series it is seen that he has no appreciation for life and only cares about his life and his ego.

Como episodio tenia una lleno de mucha acción, pero poco desarrollo de personajes donde muchos apenas cambiaron y tanto para un cierre de temporada o un final definitivo para una serie donde solo cambio de manera contundente Wendy mientras los demás híbridos apenas tuvieron cambios y se volvieron secuaces de ella mientras el Hermano de Wendy que era Hermit empezó dando una primera impresión de ser blando y así sigue haciendo lo que le dices sea quien sea incluso cuando se encuentra con Morrow siendo un Cyborg es un personaje solido como un antagonista pero la mayoría de los demás personajes como **Boy Kavalier ** que se ve como alguien con problemas cuando se revela su pasado ni es impactante ni aporta gran información porque ya durante la serie se ve que no tiene ningún aprecio por la vida y solo le importa su vida y su ego.

OPINION OF ALIEN EARTH | OPINION DE ALIEN EARTH

Alien: Earth was a good series with its flaws like many series that had in its few 8 episodes some very good ones like episode 5 that reminded a lot of the original movie or like episode 6 that worked very well to direct the story towards a disaster by the end of the season in almost each episode there was something interesting and the world was handled very well showing the Earth and how the companies that ran it worked in addition to showing other alien beings that served to demonstrate that the Xenomorphs are not the only thing to fear in space, something that was not widely seen in the movies giving us in general a good series but that is being criticized mainly for a single element of the plot and that is the ability to control the Xenomorph emerging specifically from episodes 7 and 8 where they compare it as a pet based on a strange communication with Wendy that was not explained at the end and that was only treated as a unique ability of hers such as her ability to control machines and technology this together with other mysteries and questions with a open ending that gives the impression of being pretentious if a continuation is not confirmed, which in response worsens the opinion of many viewers about the series in general and although I hope for a second season, if the answers to the questions left by this first season are not organized and prioritized and they stop trying to combine many concepts from comics and books of the franchise, it will end up becoming forgettable material.

Alien: Earth fue una buena serie con sus fallos como muchas series que tuvo en sus pocos 8 episodios unos muy buenos como el episodio 5 que recordó mucho a la película original o como el episodio 6 que funcionaba muy bien para ir direccionando la historia hacia un desastre para el final de la temporada en casi cada episodio había algo interesante y se manejaba muy bien el mundo mostrando la tierra y como funcionaban las empresas que la dirigían además de mostrar otros seres alienígenas que servían para demostrar que los Xenomorfos no son lo único a lo que temer en el espacio, algo que no era muy visto en las películas dándonos en general una buena serie pero que está siendo criticada principalmente por un solo elemento de la trama y es el poder controlar al Xenomorfo surgiendo específicamente de los episodios 7 y 8 donde lo comparan como una mascota basándose en una extraña comunicación con Wendy que no se explicó al final y que solo se trató como una habilidad única de ella como su capacidad de controlar máquinas y tecnología esto unidos a otros misterios y preguntas con un final abierto que da una impresión de ser pretensioso sino se confirma una continuación que de respuesta empeoran la opinión de muchos espectadores sobre la serie en general y aunque espero ese segunda temporada sino se organizan y priorizan las respuestas a las preguntas que deja esta primera temporada y dejan de intentar combinar muchos conceptos de comics y libros de la franquicia se terminara volviendo un material olvidable.
