Not so long ago at Hagymatikum Spa

While I'm spending this Thursday in bed, disabled by fever and stomach pain for every step, what's left for me is to remember my recent visit to a spa, which I'll have to visit again soon. It's just that next time, I will need that tour very much. To relax a little and to prepare therapy for my weak body.

Near the border with Serbia, in Hungary, near Szeged, there is a place called Mako. And in that place, one of the most beautiful spas that I had the opportunity to see.

Hagymatikum spa

I was in that spa a few years ago, when it was in the reconstruction phase, and although I enjoyed the charms of its thermo-mineral waters then, this time the enjoyment was at the highest level.

Maybe because in addition to the complete reconstructed facilities, added parts, we were greeted by nice weather in the middle of April, so we spent almost all the time outside, swimming in open pools.

Now I'm thinking about something, maybe it was that exposure to colder air when I got out of the hot water, that led to the subsequent drop in immunity and the cold I had?

But it was over, when I was sunbathing and swimming it was nice.

At the entrance to the spa, we put our things in completely new lockers and went to choose deckchairs.

We entered the central part of the spa, with a high wooden roof structure, and settled down on deck chairs.

A little swim in the indoor pool and a nap on a deck chair, interrupted by my partner's invitation to follow her outside.

A wonderful outdoor pool complex with warm water, water jets, a spinner and a wave area. Everything a lover of frolicking in the water needs.

After a swim in this outdoor pool, we transferred our towels to the lounge chairs under the clear sky and I headed off to tour the complex.

Next to the indoor thermal pools with hydromassages, in a separate building, there is this swimming pool. The water in it is warm, but there is no sun.

I found sun and a swimming pool a little further away, but the water in it was still uncomfortably fresh, so I avoided swimming in that pool.

A little further, I found a pool of warm water, of a disgusting brown color, but very pleasant to the body. in that water, we swam and passed the way, but only in the closed part of the pool.

It was interesting to me that there was a beach bar in that pool, where it is not recommended to stay for a long time, but, I must admit, it turned out to be nice.

I bathed a little in that pool, warmed up well and headed for the deckchair.

In the warm rays of the sun, I quickly dried off and after that decided to enter the closed part of the complex anyway.

I visited the rest of the facilities, found a section for children, bowling alley, a section with slides (this is the section that was reconstructed a few years ago), a section with massage cabins, with massage tubs, and I also found a chess board in the water where we played a few games of chess.

With a nap on the deckchairs and enjoying the view of the interesting central figure and the roof of the complex, the time passed quickly.

We heard some kids asking about Aquapolis.

Let's go and look for him. That didn't exist before.

On the floor in the second part of the complex, we entered a performance of a small underwater mythological world. A beautiful combination of sounds and lights makes staying in this space, while sitting on warm benches, extraordinary. A real relaxation zone, after a long bath and swim.

In addition to photos, I also made several video clips, with which you can get an excellent impression of this part of the complex.

I enjoyed my stay here very much, and since I returned to a place that during the reconstruction phase did not really give the impression of a classy spa center, that is not the case now.

It's worth remembering the locations that didn't delight you, and that you promised yourself you'd return to sometime.

I did, and I share my return to Hagymatikum spa here with you in #TBT, today, when I have a beautiful memory of that tour, but also a promise, I will repeat swimming in those pools.

Thank you for stopping by my post and I hope you enjoyed the photos and the story I shared with you
