Everyone loves holidays, obviously. We all want to chill and be work-free and all of that, which is really understandable and pleasurable. But on a personal level, I tend not to be too relaxed. I don’t even know how many holidays we have in a year in my country calendar; it’s funny, right? Lol. I’ve never seen a need to sit and cross-check it as a person, to be very honest. Hehehe. There’s actually no time to check the time, they say.

We all know how important holidays are to humankind, but in my own case, I tend not to take too many breaks from anything I’m doing. Be it my job, studies, or anything. Because on a personal level, I tend to struggle to catch up with stuff when I’m too relaxed and cold. Let's take, for example, school. When I was in secondary school, my mathematics teacher always said something then: that if you leave math, it will surely leave you too. And that applies to all other aspects of life for me.
Whenever I leave something for too long, I struggle so hard to recover from the stumble. So rather than relaxing for too long, I tend to revisit whatever I’m accountable for once in a while, while still enjoying the holidays. Holidays are really important and enjoyable. I mean, all work makes Jack a dull dog, or how do they even say it again, lol. But I’m sure you got the point, yeah. So I just feel, from a personal perspective, that if there’s too much of holidays, it’s definitely going to affect the economy.

I mean, imagine if half the days of the year is meant for holidays, do you even think Nigeria is going to function well? On a personal experience, I dought that. Imagine all the business people going for a break on vacations. This includes, farmers, business owners, banks, call centers, taxi, bike men, train drivers, bus drivers, etc. how do you think the country is going to be like? It’s definitely going to affect a lot of things.
I mean, I don’t know of others states effects though, but you see Lagos, Nahhh! It’s definitely going to cause a whole lot of problems and damages. I mean, In a city where by, even on days of holiday, people still work very hard. How do you think it’s going to be like, making everyone compulsorily go for an holiday every here and there? It’s going to be war, no cap.

What I know of is that, too much of everything is bad. If you need a break as a person from whatever you’re going through, just take the time off. I mean, no one loves to starve to survive, no matter how easy your job is, you’d definitely have down times too as a person, so I feel like it’s normal. Just as holidays are needed and essential in the life of a person, we shouldn’t also be too relaxed as well. Just my opinion on this topic.Thank you for reading, and this is my response to the #hiveleaners weekly prompt.
