I still love Hive-Engine, despite some people having grown tired of it - I play around there a lot and love to see people experimenting. You may know that I cut my teeth on @dcitygame, which is an NFT game still running after 7 years, built completely on Hive-Engine.
As I rearrange my wallets and help fix Hive-Engine, I have been thinking more and more about "which tokens I hold". Since we are full time on HIVE, I have weekly payments to make - so anything not pulling its weight (in both my head and my heart) is going bye-bye!
It's not that I don't love you, just - I got bills to pay!
As I work through the different projects, a few stand out to me - and it seems, whether quite accidentally or completely on purpose - I have become "a whale".
Here are 5+1 tokens I am "whaling out" over.
ONEUP
Run by the community of CARTEL holders, and designed and worked by the wizardly @flauwy, ONEUP token has a low inflation, a tight supply, a great brand in a niche I love - gaming.
I know the issues faced in the past, managing things in a certain way made sense at a certain time; but instead of running away, @flauwy found a way to step back, see how things would shake out in time.
I'm proud to be a 1up whale and would integrate ONEUP into any "gaming" thing I did.
PIMP
Run by @enginewitty and the community of PIMP stakers, this token has controlled inflation, low supply and assets like silver and btc outside the HIVE ecosystem.
One of the things I love about PIMP (Paper In My Pocket), is its honest focus on "making money". While I don't always vibe with many parts of "hustle culture", it is quite refreshing to participate in a group that admits the reality, "no one is trying to lose money".
I attempt to attend the weekly meetings, unrecorded mastermind sessions - with all my podcasting, what fun to spout off in unrecorded ways.
CCD
Run by @powerpaul, CryptoCompanyCEO is a fantastic brand with a lot of potential. The CCD token has a very low market cap right now, and pretty tight supply.
I have always been a fan of "the idea", and took another look recently and still, I really like what I see. So I staked 1M CCD and became a whale.
It turns out @powerpaul does not live "all that far" from me, and one day we might share a visit.
PIZZA
Run by the community of PIZZA stakers, and backed up by the machinations of the marvelous @hivetrending, I have recently fallen in love with the PIZZA branding.
I love pizza, I really do and I don't know anyone who doesn't. And to combine music, gaming, art and movies all into one community - things we love to do while eating pizza, frankly its pretty brilliant.
Add to all that, the "assets backing" the project are significant, in infrastructure and in Hive Power. With a low token supply, nearly-no inflation, and strong community, its a powerhouse of a token.
Technically, I'm not a whale yet. But I will be.
ARCHON
Run by the community of ARCHON stakers, and backed up by the volunteer efforts of @melinda010100, @seckorama and myself, ARCHON was a "dream" tribe build out of the steemfork wars and the desire to fix the upfundme tokenomics.
Its got such a tight supply and low inflation, an active community of contests (check out @archontribe) to give users "something to post about"; I think they do some great work with that.
And I do my best to live up to the vision, now stated as: Assistance, Resources and Community Help, plus Ongoing Networking, aka ARCHON.
I'm an ARCHON whale and nobody can stop me!
Bonus: EDSI
Run by @silverstackeruk himself, and supported by the clever creativity of all that he has built, EDSI is a workhorse of a token. I had the chance to whale up at what I consider a good price, and so I did.
I might consider selling them one day....at a higher price!
