The Chose One Part 1 of 3 :D

Hello ladies and gentlemen. After flipping 300 cars, we’ve finally reached the first major milestone for this garage—the complete and functional restoration of a car. Since it’s in terrible condition, I’ll be dividing this into three parts: first, the engine; second, the suspension and transmission; and third, the bodywork and final details. This will be the first full restoration documented on the blog ;)

While walking through the junkyard, I saw plenty of models, but today the chosen one was this Dodge Challenger.

First thing we did was bring the crane and pull out the engine to place it on the stand. And by “engine,” I mean the block, the crankshaft, and the camshaft—those were the only three parts that came out of that mess.

Once on the stand, I realized that unfortunately only the block survived ;( The crankshaft and camshaft didn’t make it q-q

Still, I couldn’t let that get me down. After restoring the block, I got to work. After stressing out over missing bolts, getting lost online looking for components, installing 2 cylinder heads, 32 push rods, 16 spark plugs, rocker arms, a supercharger, water pump, 300 belts, and 2,000 pulleys… I finally finished it q---q (F for me)

LOOK AT THIS 6.2L HEMI BEAST Q_Q It’s beautiful. The nearly 12,000 credits spent on parts were totally worth it q-q

Even though it sounds like a lot of money, remember that thanks to the buy-and-sell business I’ve been running lately, I managed to get restoration benches that let me repair some of the car’s components. That makes the rest of the restoration much easier. And since the engine is the heart of the car, we can’t put in worn-out parts—everything has to be 10 out of 10 for our first project ;D

In Part 2, we’re going all in on the suspension, installing the transmission and exhaust system, and finishing up accessories like fuses and other components to make sure everything works properly.

Drop a comment and let me know what color you think we should paint the Dodge. I was thinking yellow to match the cylinder heads, but if you’ve got a better idea, I’m all ears.
