I know it's a few days past her birthday but I appreciate that she gave me the opportunity to participate in his initiative. For those who don't know it yet, @malomi created an initiative in commemoration of her birthday. I found it interesting as well as she is a girl with very good vibes and initiatives, so I wanted to participate :3.

Se que unos días mas allá de su cumpleaños pero agradezco que diera la oportunidad de participar en su iniciativa. Quienes aun no lo conozcan, @malomi creo una iniciativa en conmemoración de su cumpleaños. Me pareció interesante además que es una chica con muy buena vibra e iniciativas, así que quise participar :3.

The idea was to create an illustration about a gift that we would like to give her on a special day like her birthday. The options were very variate so I wanted to go a little further.

I think that with all the burden of living in a country like Venezuela, or living the world of adulthood (with all its responsibilities, sacrifices and duties), we need moments of peace and harmony to not go crazy; if I had the ability to provide this (and that it's not just an illusion) I would gladly do it.

I know it's kind of corny, but I am so what can I say, haha. Since I can't give something physical I would like to give something more symbolic, and that would be my best wishes for this year to her.

La idea era crear una ilustración sobre un regalo que nos gustaría darle en un día tan especial como su cumpleaños. Las opciones eran muy libres así que quise ir u poco mas allá.

Creo que con toda la carga que lleva vivir en un pais como el de venezuela, o vivir el mundo de la adultez (con todas sus responsabilidades, sacrificios y deberes), necesitamos momentos de paz y armonía para no volvernos locos; si tuviera la capacidad de brindar esto (y que no sea solo una ilusión) con gusto lo haría.

Se que es muy cursi, pero soy así que puedo decir, haha. Ya que no puedo brindar algo físico quisiera brindar algo mas simbólico, y eso serian mis mejores deseos para este año.

Process/Proceso:

I would have liked to offer something more complete, but time didn't allow me :'), so here comes the line art. I wanted to make a good composition, that's for sure. I wanted it to be as interesting and captivating as possible.

Me hubiera gustado ofrecer algo mas completo, pero el tiempo no me permitía :'), así que line art salvaje aparece hehe. Quise cuidar mucho la composición, eso si. Que fuera lo mas interesante y cautivadora que pueda ser.

From the beginning I was clear about the background I wanted to give, but for the character I needed a few references to inspire myself. Maybe simplicity would play a better case, and I went for it.

Desde un inicio estaba clara del ambiente que quería ponerle, pero para el personaje necesite de unas cuantas referencias para inspirarme. Tal vez la simpleza jugaría un mejor caso, y me tire por ello.

Once the lineart was completed the rest was hatching for shading and using values to give more interest. At the beginning I didn't plan to give it more than base tones (lack of time :')) but I liked how it was turning out, so I added extra shadows to make it beautiful.

Completado el Lineart lo demás fue tramado para sombrear y uso de valores para dar mas interés, En un inicio no pensaba darle mas que tonos base (falta de tiempo :')) pero me gustaba como estaba quedando, por lo que le agregue sombras extras para que fuera bello bello.

This was the final result; I think it conveys the idea very well, a moment of inner peace that comforts us to achieve more in life.

Este fue el resultado final; creo que transmite muy bien la idea, un momento de paz interior que nos reconforta para lograr mas en la vida.
