Hijack turned accident turned hit and run

What started out as a fun day to go meet a friend, turned out to be a nightmare experience for me and my mother.

We were driving behind a Porsche and stopped at a traffic light when I saw a man pointing a gun at the driver in the Porsche. I immediately said to my mother - oh my word the car in front of us is being hijacked and as I said that I wasn't sure what to do there was a loud bang of my window being smashed with a gun. It turns out there were four robbers attacking both cars at the exact same time.

My mother started screaming as she had thought that I had been shot through the glass - the noise was deafening. I can still feel the ringing in my ears.

The hijacker on my side was screaming at me to get out of the car. As the car did not belong to me I was reluctant to get out of the car but he was insistent and I was worried about my mother and her well being. She was simultaneously being harrassed to get out of the car and he was trying to take her handbag from her. She knew that her bank card and cellphone was in the bag so resisted and fought (which we know is the wrong thing to do when faced with someone holding a gun) - not sure what happened but he let go of her bag and rushed to get into the car.

My handbag was taken and he was telling me to leave my cellphone and I refused. Again, not too clever but in my mind I knew I had to have my phone to call someone. At this point he hit me in the face with the gun.

Meanwhile the car behind me opened his car doors and told us to jump in and that he would take us to the nearest police station as he had witnessed what had happened to us.

We got into the car and as he turned into the next street he showed us our car on the pavement with 5 people trying to lift it. We couldn't understand what was happening and then later we were told that the car we were driving had overtaken the Porsche and the Porsche crashed into our car. B

The poor man who had been hit by the car was just lying shivering and no one was taking care of him. The police took 25 minutes to get there and the ambulance took 35 minutes to get there.

Several people gathered at the scene and eventually the police cordened off the area and both entrances to the street.

Please be vigilant on the roads. I've put this post up purely to warn people. It was a terrible ordeal to go through and I'm saddened that my 75 year old mother had to have such a bad experience.

Marks on my face Bruising on my shoulder from being pulled out

So grateful that both my mom and I are alive and that we had protection from above.

Much Love Eden 😘 🎹🎸🎀🎢🎡
