Manga Review: One Piece 1010 “Conqueror's Haki”

 **This is possibly one of the best chapters so far this year 2021. Lots of action, epic moments and impressive revelations and with a very impressive ending, One Piece really gets better and better.**
**One Piece 1010 "Conqueror's Haki" begins just as the last chapter ended, with Big Mom falling into the sea with no one to help her. While Zeus is still locked in the metal box and Zoro cutting Prometheus so he won't go help Big Mom.**  **Kaido left Luffy K.O. on the ground, while complaining about how useless Big Mom is and decides to go help her. Therefore, Kaido sets out to attack Zoro, but thanks to Law, he saves Zoro from Kaido's attack.**  **While Law takes advantage of the situation and with a new technique called "Injection Shot", he attacks Kaido in his neck, which makes him bleed a little. Law uses another technique called "Curtian", which seems to be a kind of shield, as Kaido hits him and sends him flying a few meters, making Law hit some rocks.**  **Because of this, Prometheus escapes and goes to help Big Mom and along with him, there is also Napoleon, so Killer, failed in his mission to get him away from Big Mom. I didn't understand how Napoleon could have escaped from Killer, because that was his only job at that time, very useless on Killer's part. Zoro complains to Law, since by saving him, he made Prometheus escape. But Law replies to him that it doesn't matter anymore, because he needs everyone to be alive for his plan to work. Parallel to this, we see Kid and Killer who are heading to where Big Mom is and behind Kid there is a pile of pieces of metal that thanks to his ability is attracting them.**  **Prometheus was able to save Big Mom from falling into the sea and while they complain about how useless Zeus is, Prometheus proposes something to Big Mom, which is not revealed in this chapter, while Kid and Killer see the sky, clouds are forming in the sky quite strange. So Big Mom is probably creating a new "homie" to replace Zeus.**  **We return to Kaido, who is mocking Luffy for knocking him to the ground, but in a way, he is also "praising" him because just like when Kaido knocked Luffy out for the first time, even though he is unconscious Luffy is still staring at him. Kaido asks how he should tear him apart. At the same time, Zoro is preparing to make an attack and tells Law that this will be his last attack and that if it doesn't work he will probably die. Zoro covers his sword with Haki before a Kaido who feels the swordsman's presence.**  **And after many chapters and in a spectacular page. Zoro attacks Kaido with one of his most emblematic techniques "Ashura", which manages to cut him in the chest.**  **Kaido is quite impressed by Zoro's attack and asks him if what he did was "Conqueror's Haki". But Zoro doesn't know what Kaido is talking about, while he is falling on the ground, Zoro regrets that his attack couldn't defeat him even though he did it with all the strength he had left. Kaido is still quite shocked and says that this attack will leave him with a scar.**  **Because of this Kaido is very upset and prepares to attack Zoro, taking advantage of the fact that the swordsman is on the ground without strength. Law tries to defend him, but Kaido quickly attacks them both with his fastest attack "Raimei Hakke".**  **With Law and Zoro on the ground, defeated. Kaido laments that they didn't want to join him, since that way he could dominate the world. However, behind Kaido emerges Luffy who refutes Kaido's words about joining him. Luffy tells him that they would never join him since they support the Samurai and because of that, Luffy is going to defeat him. As Luffy says that, we see a flashback of Hyogoro as he was teaching Luffy the use of Ryu. Hyogoro tells Luffy that you can destroy the enemy from within using Haki, but he must let it flow and not force it into his fist.**  **"Power will blossom in times of crisis", those are the words that echo in Luffy's mind, as he tells Kaido that he already understood everything that happened when Kaido just attacked him and that Kaido used "Conqueror's Haki" to protect himself, therefore also to cover objects or the user's own body, as well as extra armor. Kaido laughs, and tells Luffy that only the strongest can do that, as he is about to attack Luffy.**  **However, he epically stops the attack with his foot, but without directly touching Kaido's weapon. Kaido is surprised and Luffy jumps on top of him to perform an attack.**  **Luffy gains momentum as he coats his arm with Haki and delivers a powerful blow to Kaido's stomach, again without directly touching him.**  **Kaido falls to his knees, but before he can recover, Luffy again attacks him, "punching" him in the chin in another powerful attack, which again fails to touch him directly, only with the Haki he is able to achieve that.**  **Kaido falls, and we see Law quite surprised at what he has just seen and is surprised to see that Luffy hit Kaido without even touching him. Luffy thanks Zoro and Law for protecting him and tells them to go down and tell everyone that he's going to defeat Kaido, no matter what. This chapter was pretty epic, Luffy finally understood how Conqueror's Haki works and already knows how to use it almost perfectly. And it was implied that Zoro may have King's Haki. Impressive chapters are coming in these next weeks.**
