Hello, everyone.
As you can see, I am in another city, which, for a change, is not Meridian. I am currently infiltrating the Citadel, the capital of the evil Eclipse soldiers. My goal today will be to access a military bunker located just below the city to obtain information on how to stop HADES and better understand its connection to the Eclipse.
I arrived at this place guided by Sylens, who intercepted secret communications from the Eclipses. After listening to the conversations, his suspicions grew that he might find information there related to the original war machines created by the ancients.
Accessing the city was easy thanks to a disguise prepared in advance by Sylens, which allowed me to pass by the guards, pretending to be a bounty hunter.
At the bounty hunters' meeting, I met the child king and his mother, and I could tell from their faces that they were being forced or held captive. It was clear that the Avad of that place was the one who controlled the kingdom.
I felt a little sad leaving them like that, but my goal today, as I had already mentioned, was to enter the secret underground facilities. And so, while everyone was paying attention to what the Avad was saying, I slipped away through a balcony.
I accessed the cave through a side opening in a shed that appeared to be abandoned. Two things caught my attention here. The first is that an abandoned shed so close to the castle would be very conspicuous. On the other hand, the fact that Sylens knew of its existence confirms once and for all that he did work with the Eclipse soldiers in the past.
Inside, I found another huge metal door, just like in every other underground facility I've visited. After a biometric scan, my DNA matched Dr. Elisabet Sobeck's 98%, so I was allowed to enter.
Inside the facility, I found a place frozen in time that bore witness to humanity's last efforts to preserve life on the planet and its own legacy.
As I make my way through the different rooms, I find remnants of files and audio recordings that narrate the last days of humanity before the collapse.
In one of the rooms, I found a hologram narrating what happened during Operation Enduring Victory. As I understood it, this was a desperate strategy to buy time while Project Zero Dawn was being developed. Nearby, I also found a holographic map showing how the machines were devouring the planet.
When everything was going well, several Eclipse soldiers appeared, rappelling down from the roof. I could have evaded them and continued on my way, but at the risk of them reappearing later, I eliminated them.
To continue, I had to reactivate some generators and restore power to certain parts of the facility. To accomplish this task, I had to solve a series of puzzles that required me to move from one place to another and climb in some areas.
With the generators reactivated, everything came to life and the dark and gloomy facilities looked different. I also gained access to the other section of the building, where the doctor's personal office was located.
Inside the office, I found additional information that confirms my theory that Project Zero Dawn was not a weapon, but rather a project to restart life on Earth after extinction.
Inside this place, Aloy discovers a lot of things about the Zero Dawn project, including the moment when the AI HADES escapes GAIA's control, prompting GAIA to create Aloy using Dr. Elizabeth's genetic material.
In this same place, I also found some blueprints explaining how to create a device capable of neutralizing HADES. This device is called the Master Control, and it is not a physical object that can simply be picked up and used, but rather a set of data and authorizations that, according to Sylens, could be converted into a functional device.
Everything was going well until Helis appeared and threw a grenade that exploded right next to the office where Aloy was, knocking her unconscious.
