Seeing a couple expecting a baby is something that always touches my soul. And it's because life, my friend, is always moving, seeking a way to rise again. A maternity session is precisely that: a meditative pause to record the moment when they find themselves in love in a completely new stage.

For me, these photos are an internal search. I like to observe the details, that calm you feel when it's no longer just two, but three. It's a game of containment where what they are holding is not just the belly, but the very weight of the being on the way, assembling this new adult they will be as parents.

They are about to discover that their children will be their new north, an appendage of them that will make them exaggeratedly happy. It's a perpetual movement of giving and receiving, where what must be sustained will be sustained. And I, I'm just there with my camera, looking for my own view to document that connection that, although it seems simple, is the most curious and beautiful thing in life.
