What happens with marriage? I've written a lot about what I think about it from a romantic point of view. I've written about it from a social and even religious point of view, but it remains enigmatic to me why people get married and if they truly achieve what they seek by getting married.

Marriage, more than a formality, is supposed to be the start of something, and for something to start, something must have ended before. What ended before? This used to mean something because it determined that the spouses would live together, but nowadays I think that line is different, and I'm not even sure how common that would have been before. But what determines the start of a married life can happen for many reasons.
>El matrimonio, más que un trámite, se supone que es el inicio de algo y para que algo inicie de alguna manera tuvo que acabar antes. ¿Qué acabó antes? Esto podría significar algo porque determinaba que los esposos vivirían juntos, pero en la actualidad creo que esa línea es diferente e incluso no estoy seguro de cuán común sería eso antes. My partner and I got pregnant even before living together, so it was a coincidence of life that we got pregnant and then moved in together, and that it worked out. And from the outside, this might sound rushed, stressful, and crazy, but for us, it was a beautiful love story, and the truth is, it doesn't stop being romantic for me because it happened that way.

Y desde afuera esto se puede escuchar precipitado, estresante y loco, pero para nosotros fue una historia de amor bonita y que la verdad no deja de ser romántica para mí por haberse dado de esa forma.
The thing is that after a long time living together and with our daughters, for me it's as if I were already married, but it's still nice to take that step and do the ritual.
