Hi, Hivers. My name is **@eijnuj06** , and I'd like to share my experience visiting the Bamboo Forest in Medellin, Cebu, with my girlfriend and my sister and her boyfriend.
We will ride our motorcycle for over an hour from our hometown of Tabogon to Medellin, Cebu. Because it was our first visit to the **Bamboo Forest** in Medellin, Cebu, we decided to use the Waze app from the Google Play store to help us navigate and find our way around.
The Bamboo Forest is located in *Barangay Luy-a, Medellin, Cebu*. When we arrived, we promptly paid the entrance and parking fees. We've already seen a cafe and eatery outside the Bamboo Forest in case visitors or tourists are hungry and want to eat.
Saturday morning, my sister and I planned to visit the Bamboo Forest in Medellin, and to make the experience more unforgettable, we decided to bring along our loved ones, my girlfriend and her boyfriend. When we entered the premises, we observed the towering bamboos, and you couldn't feel the heat of the sun due of the bamboo trees' shade. The tall bamboo trees create a tranquil environment. We had a great time walking around the place and taking many pictures.
But, overall, I'm glad I went to the Bamboo Forest, and I'm glad that, even though it's a man-made forest, it's great to know that people are conserving and caring for our natural environment. This will be a great site for future generations as well, because the bamboo trees will grow for many years and I believe they will stand tall even if typhoons arrive.
I'd like to share a lesson about bamboo trees. Bamboo trees are similar to humans in that if we remain together and helping each other, we will have a strong foundation and will be able to overcome many difficulties in our lives. Bamboo trees represent strength and fortitude. They will be able to bend with the wind while sticking to each other, symbolizing that by working together, we can overcome adversity, tackle life problems, and recover from failures.
After visiting the Bamboo Forest, we decided to visit a Beach Resort near Medellin, Cebu. I don't remember the name of the resort, but we rented a cottage. I particularly appreciated the view of the ocean while enjoying a beer. I observed three foreigners walking aroud and asked them to join me for a beer.
Even though it is difficult to communicate with them since I struggle with speaking English, I can express myself better via writing than through speaking. I've also noticed that they have problems speaking English because I believe they're from Europe. Yes, we could not talk fluently, but by drinking beer, we were able to form bonds and friendships for a brief period of time. We take a group picture for memories to keep.
