I think I remember where I got this coin, because in 2006 I did my on the job training in Singapore for six month in one of the hotel there called Grandcopthorne Waterfront Hotel. It was such a feeling, a mix of happiness, joy, sad, insecurity, and a lot of other stuff. I mean, I am a son of a farmer in the slope of the mountain, far away from the hustle and bustle of the city and the tourist spot, and my first place to get to know hotel was in a big hotel, abroad far away from home.
And man. . , it was already 19 years ago, and I am getting old now. hahaha
A part from a few souvernire, and a couple of T-shirt that I still use occasionally, this one is another artefact to remind me of my time there. The chance of me to go there is almost zero, because it is expensive to got here alone, not to mention also to bring my family. I even too poor to bring my family for a trip outside of my island, in fact I hardly go too far. I wish I can do it in the future.
Ok back to the coin, it is a coin that is minted in 1986, two years before I was born, hahaha
It is also interesting that they uses four different language on the coin. its showing the diversity that the country have there.
