I was a litlte bit surprised to know that I have this coin, but surely this one is one of the coin that I brought from my time in Singapore again. The funny thing is that this one is not from Singapore, but from a place that is separated by vast archipelago (which is my country) and also a lot of seas.
The coin is from New Zealand, which I get in Singapore, then ends up here in Bali, Indonesia. quite a journey so far, and I am not sure where this guys have been before it ends up in my collection.
What interesting is the figure on the Reverse of this coin. Lucky for me that I found the info in Numista about it. Reverse Maori carving depicting Pukaki, a chief of the Ngāti Whakaue iwi (tribe) of Te Arawa. The reverse is a reproduction of a remarkable Māori carving representing the 18th century Māori warrior leader called Pukaki, who was a Rangatira (Chief) of the Ngati Whakaue iwi of Te Arawa in the Rotorua district. The original carving was made in 1836 and today it can be viewed in the entrance of the Rotorua Museum. The figure is flanked by Māori motifs.
Then on the observe you can find the Fourth crowned portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, which is not really in a good condition on this coin that I have. As you can see it has been eaten away from my neglect and stupidity to keep the coin in a better way.
And the shiny Hive card that I use as the base of the photo place is also a little bit refelctive, so the Queen look a little bit shiny.
