What a nice topic to write on.April fool.Though IAM here abit late but I have to share my own experience and view about April fool . please take your time and read my blog and you will learn chains of lesson. First of April or April first is globally recognized as April Fool’s Day, a day dedicated to pranks and jokes. While some people find it interesting and entertaining, my experience with it in my secondary school days at Army Day Secondary School, Bida, Niger State, left me with a lasting mark or scar, both emotionally and physically. This incident involved my childhood friend,
Bala Ochokwu, whom I had known since our early years growing up in Army Barracks 181 Mechanized Battalion, Bida.
Bala and I shared a connection of trust and friendship. We had always been close, and I never had a reason to doubt his words. However, on the 1st of April, 2002, that trust was put to the test in the most painful way. That afternoon, Bala approached me with a look of deep concern and worry. He told me that my father
had been involved in a fatal accident and that people had gathered at the school gate to attend to him. The moment I heard those words, my heart beat in fear. Without a second thought, I jumped out of the classroom and rushed toward the school gate, my mind was filled with worry and anxiety. In my haste, I fell badly and dislocated my right hand. The pain was severe, and I cried out . Some students and teachers rushed to my aid, and it was only after a few minutes that Bala came forward, laughing and shouting, "April Fool!" At that moment, a mix of thought filled my mind .pain and anger filled my heart. What Bala considered a harmless joke had left me with a permanent injury. Up til now my right hand has never been in its proper shape. This experience taught me a great lesson about the dangers of April Fool’s pranks. While some may find it interesting, the consequences can be big. Jokes should never come at the expense of someone’s safety or well-being. From that day onward, I began to view April Fool’s Day not as a time for fun but as a reminder of the dangers expensive dangerous pranks can cause. While some jokes are sweet and funny, others can have real bitterness. I strongly believe that people should exercise wisdom and caution when engaging in April Fool’s jokes. An expensive joke that causes harm is not funny at all. In conclusion, my April Fool experience was a painful lesson and eye opener to be responsible in creating fun but not an expensive painted dangerous joke . While pranks may be enjoyable for some, they should never be taken too far. We must always consider the dangers and havoc they may cause. I hope that my April fool experience serves as a reminder to be careful of our actions, even in the name of cracking jokes or fun.
