Nature is our medicine source: Wild Goldenberry

Since I was a child my Mom and Dad used to make natural resource medicine for us and I learned a lot from them. This culture still exists nowadays in my community. Even the community still keeps some of the medicine plans in case they need it in emergency situations.  Characteristics of the goldenberry in the wild, photo property of my own Just like the one that I show you above, it grows wildly in our backyard is Wild Goldenberry which is widely known as a medicine resource in many countries. In my home town, this plan is known as Trueng Kachueng = Aceh, while in Bahasa it is known as Ciplukan. This ***Physalis Angulata*** or it may be called in English as Goldenberry (perhaps) has many benefits as you can check it in Google. I am not going to tell you what is mentioned on Google, but it is how my family uses it for many purposes. ### For Fever Take a handful of goldenberry leaves, boil it in a glass of water for about 5 minutes, and drink it after adding palm sugar.  It shows the ripe goldenberry fruit on the plant ### For Open Wound Clean a handful of goldenberry leaves, grind it properly, and apply on the open wound after cleaning it properly. But, it must be avoided from the water for at least for 2 days. ### For Hypertency/Diabetes Take the whole plant including the root and chop it before boiling it in 3 glasses of water for 10 minutes. Drink it once/twice a day for 3 consecutive days. ### For Immune Booster You just need to eat the fresh Goldenberry fruit any you like, and you can also make a juice and mix it with other high anti-oxidant fruits. | --- | --- The fresh goldenberry fruits are just taken from the plant I like to eat this wild berry when it is still fresh because of its juicy taste since I was a kid, and now I show it also to my kids and teach them how to eat it when they find it in the wild back garden.
