Today I want to show you and share what was an exquisite and nutritious preparation: strogonof with vegetables. I am happy to share this recipe because of everything I learned when I read the history of this little dish from Russia. Particularly, I thought it was French, and when I went deeper, I realized that it was prepared by a French chef for a Russian Count Stróganov in the 19th century. Friends, I tell you that since I saw the meat cut in strips in the supermarket, I was fascinated. Its description on the screen caught my attention and since the price was the same as another type of cut, I decided to buy it for its practicality. Besides, it looked clean and fresh. Since I have started to prepare my lunches with this meat, I have been satisfied with its tenderness when eating it. So I have prepared my own version of Strogonof with the ingredients available at home. Today I show you my recipe that besides the exquisite result, its appearance invited to eat it. Es un gusto y placer saludarlos y desearles un muy felíz fin de semana. Hoy les quiero mostrar y compartir lo que fué una exquisita y nutritiva preparación: strogonof con vegetales. Me hace felíz compartir esta receta por todo lo que aprendí al leer la histroria de este platiillo originario de Rusia. Particularmente, yo pensé que era Francés, y aundando más, me di cuenta que fué preparado por un chef Francés a un Conde Ruso de apellido Stróganov en el siglo XIX. Amigos, les cuento que desde que vi la carne cortada en tiritas en el supermercado, me fascinó. Llamó mi atención su descripción en la pantalla y como el precio, era igual a otro tipo de corte, decidí comprarla por lo práctico. Además, de su aspecto limpio y fresco. Desde que he comenzado a preparar mis almuerzos con esta carne, quedo satisfecha por su suavidad al comerla. Así que he preparado mi propia versión de Strogonof con los ingredientes disponibles en casa. Hoy les muestro mi receta que además de exquisito resultado, su aspecto invitaba a comerlo. También les cuento que es una preparación muy rendidora, la podemos acompañar con arróz y otros contornos de preferencia. A continuación mi receta que alcanzó para cinco personas. INGREDIENTES • 700 gramos de carne de res cortada en tiritas (strogonof). • 1 Zanahoria mediana • 1 Cebolla • 1/2 pimentón rojo • 4 dientes de ajo • 1 Calabacin • 1 Berenjena • 1 Papa grande • Pimienta al gusto • Sal al gusto • 1/2 Cucharadita de paprika • 1/2 Cucharadita de Cúrcuma • Vinagre de vino • Aceite de Oliva. PREPARACIÓN Lo primero que realicé fué organizar la cocina y todos mis ingredientes para agruparlos en orden de utilización. Es importante tener todo en el mesón, tanto los utensilios como las especies entre otros. Comencé con sazonar la carne, agregándole el ajo, sal, pimienta, vinagre de vino, aceite de oliva, cúrcuma y paprika. La dejé tapada para que absorbiera todos los sabores mientras continuaba mi preparación. Posteriormente, continué lavando, cortando y reservando cada uno de los vegetales necesarios en mi receta. La Berenjena fué la primera en cortar en tiritas y esta la coloqué en un envase con agua y sal para retirar lo amargo, además que mantuviera su color. Posteriormente, el calabacín, que fué cortado en tiritas. Cabe destacar, que todos los vegetales los corté en tiritas, continuando la zanahoria y papa. Por último, corté la cebolla y pimentón, ya que éstos eran los primeros en saltear. Tomé una sartén, coloqué a fuego medio bajo, agregué aceite de oliva, cebolla y pimentón. Lo dejé por dos minutos, mezclando cuidadosamente. Los retiré y reservé en un plato. En ese mismo sartén, agregué un chorrito de aceite de oliva, la carne para saltearla y cocinarla durante cico minutos. Al cabo del tiempo establecido, agregué la zanahoria, papa, calabacín y berengena mezclé todos mis vegetales y tapé durante 5 minutos más. El paso final, fué agregar algo de agua para que tuviera humedad y algo de salsa. Asimismo, probé y ajusté la sal. Me encantó todo el olor que desprendía mi cocina. La verdad que este platillo tal como lo preparé es muy completo por la cantidad de vegetales. La consistencia suave de la carne, combinados con los diferentes vegetales, para mi resultó un plato perfecto. Espero lo puedan preparar en sus casas y aprovechar los ingredientes y vegetales en su cocina. Este tipo de carne, por su corte es muy blanda y rendidora. A todos les deseo un Felíz fin de semana.
