Good evening, to whoever reads this post. My name is @elbrujo, also known as 'Segovia'. And tonight, I take a small window of time to present to you 'Vandalism'; my first official beat-tape/compilation of beats.
This has been a huge achievement for me. Since last year, I have been making beats and grouping them into ideas for tapes and albums, even going so far to make an attempt to release a beat-tape last year called 'Muju principles', but everytime I failed to achieve the quality and cohesion that I wanted. Although those old ideas are still important to me, and even being worked on right now, 'Vandalism' is the first full project I have managed to finish. It took me a long while but, it's here, after endless setbacks and issues, it's my first beat-tape.
'Vandalism' it's comprised of six beats (There are actually seven, including the switch up on 'Vándalo') and it's reflects through it's name and sound the state I was, when I decided to remix and compile those old beats into this project. A very dusty, murky sound, lot's of pads and heavy drums. The mastering it's rough around the edges (My apologies, it's my first time trying to master a track this size especially consisting of different sounds and volumes, did what I could, to the best of my abilities). The first cut of the project had 3 more beats, but listening to the whole thing a couple of times made clear that those beats broke any resemblance of cohesion on the tape, so I left only the beats that were similar to each other and added one more that I finished last week.
I hope that if anyone listens to this, they'll find it enjoyable, and if not, any criticism (Good or bad) will be gladly welcomed. Choon link below!
